Hey! My name is Ana and I enjoy making wet specimens and working with bones. If Oddities are your thing, here you go! Reminder: this is a (my only) hobby and I am not (yet) a professional! Be gentle!
Some important tidbits of information:
♡I am located in Wasilla, Alaska. However, I am able to seal and ship specimens for the cost of the item +shipping. Wet specimens will be sent without alcohol - just top off with 70% rubbing alcohol and you're good to go!
♡There's certain animals I CANNOT process and preserve! If its a migratory bird, owl, endangered, threatened, protected, etc - even if its found dead, I cannot process it! Sorry!
♡My oddities may not be perfect! I have been researching processes for ages, and have learned so much, but the hands on part is often filled with early errors. These errors will be noted!
♡All my wet specimens have been fixed with 10% buffered formalin (formaldehyde), leeched in distilled water, and stored in 70% Rubbing Alcohol. If your item starts losing alcohol or it discolors, just replace the alcohol!
♡Respect is important to me. All my animals will have names attached to them. I feel that respect, dignity, and tastefullness are vastly important to the memory of these animals who have passed.
♡All animals I get are ethically sourced, be that roadkill, naturally passed, or found in the wild. No animals are harmed while living for the purpose of these oddities. Occasionally I get my hands on "I went hunting, got a [animal], do you want the bones?" Items but that will be notated in the description!
