David Hampton planted douglas fir and larch trees in a forest in Oregon to resemble a face. Every autumn the larch pines turn orange and the smiley face stands out.
The face is about 300 feet in diameter

So I currently can't post directly to Facebook as I got my phone wet and the touchscreen at the top is not working. Plan to reset to factory settings once all is backed up. Will be using this for now.
