Another successful TNR.
We did a farm colony near Avoca on Thursday of 9 adult cats and a number of kittens. We managed to catch 7 adults and left traps set overnight and Friday morning the last 2 adults were in the traps. Also we got 4 small kittens who will be rehomed when they are old enough and ready. There still are a few kittens that we will catch in a week or 2 as they still need their mothers. All cats being returned after neutering.
Great when people understand how important is to neuter cats and seeking for TNR help. You can always refere to your local rescue for advice and help.
We had a great day yesterday at Petmania lots of people stopped by for a chat we met old friends and new and everyone loved the kittens we brought in, we love having the opportunity to tell kids especially a little bit about animal care and responsibility and to meet so many of our adopters next one in a few weeks ❤️
Situation which went out of control.
People got a female kitten and when time came to neuter it was too expensive for them.
(Please neuter your pets in time , no excuses!)
Unfortunately they didn't know they can ask for help around and just keep sorting the kittens out giving them away for free to anyone( we all know this is wrong )every time the cat was delivering ending up with more and more cats. We all know it is not right thing to do so we are going to skip all the bad energy. They ended up in situation when the landlord discovered they have cats as renting agreement they signed said strictly no pets.
(Please always check with your landlord if you are allowed to have pets!) So now people are facing being evicted from the property.
Our main concern was the cats as they were the victims in whole this situation. Where would they go?
Thankfully 4 rescues including us came to help with all this hoarding situation as we didn't have much time.

35 cats and kittens were removed from the property. All are very friendly. Adults are in decent condition, half of the kittens have an eye infection, also all have bad earmites infestation and some have ear infection. None of the adults are neutered so 21 cats are in the age when they have to be neutered.
So we have big work ahead of us.

It's not possible for the handful of volunteers that we are to cover every call so we have helpers in many towns and villages unsung animal heroes feeding colonies neutering strays they come across with the use of our traps and vet account, without their help it wouldn't be possible T.N.R all the calls we get but it brings into focus again the need for a national funded TNR program, government can't say it won't work it already is working there's an army of devoted animal lovers out there ready to help we all just need the funds we can't do it on donations alone

Dasher and Griffin, two handsome brothers, are still looking for their forever home 🏡
They're very sweet, full of beans and absolutely love other cats.
Unfortunately, due to them not exactly being lapcats, they get overlooked...and with kitten season just around the corner, their chances of finding a home are just getting slimmer.
They're both 100% house trained and they love their comfort of indoor living. They would be equally happy as indoor only cats or with access to a safe garden. They can be homed separately but will definitely need another cat friend or friends.
Both of them will happily nap on the couch with foster mum but they do not want to be touched! Griffin will remind her, and everyone who tries, by hissing and growling. He is not aggressive, it's his way of saying "I'm scared and I don't know what else to do!"
They're very food oriented and will happily eat treats from foster mum's hand.
They really are amazing cats, all they need is someone who understands them and accepts them just the way they are.
Dasher is around 8 months old, Griffin around 6 months. They're neutered, fully vaccinated and up to date with parasite treatment.

Was spotted week ago at people's garden who live nearby and successfully trapped today 04.04. and neutered.
Rathdrum at Avondale vets. A ginger and white female cat escaped out of the boot of a car . She was going in to be neutered. Can everyone one in the area please lookout and if seen put out food so she can be trapped. The caller had her in a cage but obviously wasn’t secure enough. She was a stray they had started to feed.

Poor Coco found herself in situation when her owners are moving to other country but because she is super nervous in the cat carrier they have made a hard decision to rehome her instead of putting her into possibility of a huge stress.
Sweet girl around 3 years old. Loves to cuddle with you on a bed or couch. Might be bit nervous in the beginning but will settle eventually.
We have two weeks to find her HOME or foster home.
She was found in the middle of the wood abandoned 2 years ago and was adopted after. Whole this time she was strictly indoors pet and the only one.

This is Nellie..
Nellie Is 10 months old, neutured big boy and has gotten his first vaccination and has been treated for parasites..
He loves his food and treats.. he's a bit nervous at the moment and would like to give him a few days to settle before going to his forever home. He doesn't mind being lifted for a cuddle and very playful. He seems doesn't mind other cats around as far as we can see and was friendly with neigbouring dog... but we think he would also be fine in cat free home aswell :) he's vocal and has no problem telling you what he wants and giving out if it's note done right.. he's such a sweetheart.. contact page for more information:)

She was rescued with her siblings, they were very hungry and underweight.
Thankfully this little furry soul is now well and healthy.❤️
She's had her 1st vaccination and is wormed.

The kitten is active - likes human company. She prefers to lay next to her foster mummy and play rather than be held and contained!
She is relaxed with the old, calm, quiet dog in her foster home. 🐕
Ideally, the kitten would be best suited to a home with children aged 10+, with company during the day, the company of another kitten around her age (fully vaccinated) would be great, as she'd have another play mate to run around with.🐈
Keeping strictly indoors till she is about 8 months old is mandatory also as neutering her when she is around 5 months old.

Doesn't like being picked up so no little kids. Loves watching tv on the sofa with you and will sleep on the bed with you, if you'll let her. She can get a bit spooked from time to time, as she had some trauma as a kitten. Otherwise, a sweet cat who needs a human of her own.

Meet Gracie. Sweet girl who had so much drama in past 6 months, she deserves a great home. Her story with us started when she was hit on a road and brought stright away to the Vet clinic. She is a lucky girl as the only thing damaged was her one eye which erupted. We also found out that she is lactating and were lucky enough to find her two little angels. The kittens now all grown and rehomed and now it is her turn to become centre of attention. She is very sweet and loves her food. Always comes for cuddles. Her previous life as a back garden cat left her with not liking to be picked up she also has her limits for cuddles but so willing to explore this new thing for her.
She is about 2 years old, neutered and first part of vaccination is done, parasite treated.
She is ok with other cats as with me she has no other choice and she came from back garden colony.
Since she has now only one eye we are looking for strictly indoor home for her or home with protected garden or cation.

Gorgeous Tux siblings still looking for their forever homes.
Golden eyes girl is the most affectionate and chilled character. She just loves company, cuddles and attention. Her brother Wayne is super handsome and loves cuddles but is a bit more shy about asking for attentions. Wayne would be better with another kitten for company.
They are about 4 months vaccinated and parasite treated. Great with other cats, dogs and hens.

Update: The cat has been checked by a vet, 'he' is not microchipped but is a young neutered male. We have not had any contact from any possible owner but will update if we have more news. For now we are calling him 'Harry'. Many thanks for all the shares.
