Oh what a night...or three! Our gorgeous Fleurette started waxing on Wednesday, so of course we began our foal watch vigil. She presented us with a magnificent black c**t on Friday night and we are over the moon! (And exhausted 😆)
Our very flashy very big boy is by Negro (Ferro x Variant - sire of Valegro and Kjento) out of Adèla Fleurette (whose lines include Uphill, Don Primaire, and Sunset Hit). We have high hopes for this young man's dressage career.

It's hard to believe that this gorgeous boy is ready to be weaned. But then again, it's also hard to believe that he's only six months old. CDC Deluge is as powerful and beautiful as the storm he was conceived in. By Daddy Cool (Don Index/Lauries Crusador), out of Cellehof Tiara (Thaddeus/Zenturio), Deluge will be available to a competitive home looking to produce their own top-drawer dressage prospect for a mid-range budget.

CDC Dom Perignon took first place in the one to two year-old class in the SAWHS Virtual Young Stock Show yesterday. As a new stud, we were hoping for a mention, but a win went beyond our expectations. We're absolutely delighted with our little Cricket! Thanks to Frances and the team at South African Warmblood Horse Society for the opportunity to present our boy, and to Karen and Dominey Alexander at Cellehof SA for their guidance, and the use of their phenomenal mare Tiara. Of course, Daddy Cool deserves a special mention - we've used this stallion three times in our program and been bowled over every time! In fact, we currently have a full brother to Dom Perignon who will be on the market to a competitive home upon weaning. We're excited to see this top-quality youngster developing.

So this is the horsey version of a "First Day of School" pic 😃. After learning to lunge, Divine was introduced to her tack and today we showed her what it was for. It'll be a while before the actual riding begins but with any luck she'll stay this unfazed.

What a sad loss for our sport 😢

It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of Gill Taylor. Gill competed in many disciplines and won numerous titles over the years. Gill has made an incredible contribution to our Sport and will be greatly missed by all. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.
