Calling all Northern Virginia pet parents! We'll be at Lost Barrel Brewing this Sunday from 12-4 pm for a Lumps & Bumps Clinic and give back day!

This is an incredible opportunity to have your pet checked by Dr. Wilson-Robles, a veterinary oncologist at The Oncology Service - Springfield. Early detection is a critical component of successfully treating cancer. Dr. Wilson-Robles will check your pet, answer questions on any areas to pay particular attention to, and will give you a body map of your pet that lists any concerning areas.

Dr. Krisi Erwin, a holistic veterinarian with Wholistic Paws Veterinary Services, will also be on site to answer questions.

Holistic medicine can play various roles in cancer treatment, depending on the patient, cancer type and owner choices. This can look like support with herbs and acupuncture to help with side effects from chemotherapy or radiation or treatment focused more on the cancer itself.

Immune system using alternative therapies such as ozone therapy, acupuncture, Chinese herbals, diet/nutrition, medicinal mushrooms, etc. are also potential options. If you're curious about holistic veterinary care for your pet and how it can support your pet's medical needs, this is the ideal time to talk to TWO specialized and very knowledgeable veterinarians.
