Echo met up with her fav person and dog ever and by no means ia echo slow at running, and her long legs have her out running most dogs, except this one. Her collie friend almost leaves dust in her face as they rush off to retreive the ball we left them. You can see the point Echo admits defeat and heads back noin her friend will bring back that ball 🥰

This is a huge improvement for this dog, after a stint in kennels through no fault of his own, bit where he had open access to play with lots of dogs, its taken a few sessions to get to this point where npt only are me and echo besise them bit his lead is far looser and he isnt dragging his handler around.
So proud of this breakthrough.

Sped up video of the first time this dog has done alert training in public. We have a contaminated tshirt in the owners pocket and you can see the whole process this dog goes through before she's confident in the smell she's alerting/booping to.

My Dog A.I.D. (Assistance In Disability) client is doing fantastically, so we've begun to start doing longer more challenging days to practice just real life situations. Here we took the train a couple of stops and spent the morning just doing a general must do shopping list.

Some lovely feedback from mum and daughter who in half term we took their assistance dog out for a fun, kid friendly, scavenger hunt. This dog is for a child therefore I personally wanted to see how the dog reacted with a child handling him but did it in a fun way. She was also allowed to ask mum for help t any point, as end of the day she's 8.

Creating a character for my dog using Ai

🐾 Meet Echo, Guardian of the Gentlewild 🖤✨

This is Echo. At first glance, she’s a sweet, loving soul who adores all animals and humans alike—calm, intuitive, and endlessly kind. But if she were a character in a storybook? Her role would be something far more magical…

🦴 Echo is the Heartward, a rare guardian spirit in canine form, chosen to protect the balance between all living beings. She doesn’t need words to speak—her eyes say everything. She senses sorrow, soothes fear, and stands her ground when danger looms.

🌙 Born under a moonless sky, Echo was raised by a healer on the edge of the Gentlewild—a secret realm hidden between our world and the magical one. After saving a fox from a hunter’s trap, the Spirits of the Vale named her their next protector.
She now lives quietly among humans (with us!), appearing to be just a sweet family dog… but those who know her, know she’s so much more.

✨ Her black coat shimmers faintly in moments of deep love or sorrow.
✨ Her collar hides an ancient sigil, unseen by most.
✨ And sometimes, when no one's looking, she disappears… only to return with leaves in her fur and a faraway gleam in her eyes.

We don’t always know where she’s been. But we trust it’s somewhere important. 💜🐕

First pair to receive their medals (yes her owner got 1 too) for achieving and successfully doing all 3 challanges these last weeks and tackling them head on, and just having fun with them!

Now we r moving onto bigger things such as mornings out, or trips on train ect, so this was a lovely way to end our shop visits on, and move onto longer days out.

So this challange was the final of 3, for this Dog A.I.D. (Assistance In Disability) client, who had to do a photo scavenger hunt.
So as we met up I handed her a laminate, with some rules, such as her dog and object has to be in the photos, and all must be done in order to complete ect. There was 10 things to go find and photo, but half way round after a down stay I introduced the 'surprise challange' I handed her a silicon folded travel cup and proceed to fill it right to top with water, so for the remaining 5 not only must she take pictures but she has to focus to make sure she doesn't spill the water so there's no room for messy heelwork.

I've had really good feedback on these last couple weeks and everyone's been surprised just how hard each "simple" looking task was. I'm so proud of everyone.

After a well known chain have been using these signs to refuse any non aduk trained dog, which is in fact illegal, despite what they say. Here are facts from aduk which they actually wrote for a guide to businesses.

Even non aduk dogs are expected to still reach the expected standard set out for dogs, so the only way asking an assistance dog to leave would be if they weren't following rules expected of an assistance dog and were disturbing others or creating a scene. If one growls for example, that would automatically not be classed as an assistance dog and you would be within your rights to ask them to leave.

Check out the correct and legal ways to deal with assistance dogs if you own a company. Anyone interested in the full aduk leaflet, please message and I will send them to you.

Something we've barely done much of is echo on the floor while I am on a trolley in hospital. No need to worry it was just a check up after my leg troubles, but what I want you to take note of is the treat I circled which knocked out of reach for her, and she is perfectly aware it's there as she tried to catch it as I dropped it onto her mat. Instead of breaking her mat stay, she's just ignored it, which is perfect. Last thing u want is to have dog cut you up to pick up a dropped treat or worse the dr! . Perfect work echo!

Dw I did pick up the treat when we left, so it wasn't up for someone else to pick up.

As per the previous post this is the "scavenger hunt" as my client called it. Was lovely to watch as not only did both her and the dog become aware the other was still watching but you could see the fun the owner was having looking for these, very specific, items I had sent them for.

This was tescos, and although our last shop you can see, because the item is harder to find (garibaldi biscuits, have you ever tried finding these? Mission in itself!) The dog did get up in response to the mum searching. However once placed in a stay with dropped lead and basket to look after she new what to do as she had been told and again did really well.

It's definitely not as easy as it looks to be able to keep an eye on your dog, not to mention to keep an eye out that members of the public leave the dog alone too, all whilst trying to find that 1 sneaky item.

This team did fantastic though, and it was lovely that they had so much fun at the same time too 🥰
