All wiggles and moving target
The Frenchie puppy became an easy target to vaccinate when we could snuggle him up in the cozy and only need one attempt at his vaccine while he enjoyed some peanut butter
Almost feel asleep for his ultrasound
This is the same 14yo bichon who was super nervous and painful, but almost asleep while we looked at his liver with ultrasound.
Oral physical exam
This old bichon was seen in the ER recently for not eating and he wouldn’t let them look in his mouth. The cozy wrap allowed us to be thorough with our physical exam.

Puppy blood draws
Wiggly puppies can be nerve wracking when trying to target a small vein with a sharp needle on a moving target. Into the wrap! Then I can focus on calming him and not worrying about all his moving parts❤️
Older cat blood draw success
At the previous vet, this cat screamed the entire they tried to get a blood sample. Today, she was comforted by her Cozy and I could focus on her acupressure points to relieve anxiety.
The focus becomes scratching his head and comforting instead of needing to keep him still for his sterile urine sample.

This video has goods and bads. This 8month old male cat was very aggressive/anxious at our first visit so we regrouped with some gabapentin which took the edge off a tiny bit. And here, the other dogs at home is barking nonstop which doesn’t help the calming vibe we were going for. But what I like here: I don’t have to hold him still with my hands because he is cozied, which frees up my hand to really focus on GV20 acupressure point. You can see he is grumbly, then I get really focused on GV20 and he calms more and then when I stop stimulating it while I focus on holding off the vein after the blooddraw is over he gets uppity again until I go back to the GV20 manipulation. Because of the wrap, I can better focus on a calming experience for him.
Old arthritic cat nail trims can be uncomfortable, but are still super important since they don’t groom themselves well, and their feet can get caught in rugs and blankets and that is painful. Here, she is clearly uncomfortable and she lets us know and we can adjust to make this a better experience. And then she gets her monthly solensia injection which often stings for a moment.

I think it would be difficult to find a more reliable way to get an accurate blood pressure on a cat when you can focus on comforting the cat instead of holding it still long enough to get an accurate reading. (background noise unfortunately is a fan… but maybe it’s just white noise that adds to the comfort 👍)
After profuse vomiting, he needed some subcutaneous fluids and antinausea medication and was feeling a lot better.
Nibbled straight through while getting her vaccine. Snuggled in!
