What is a "COHAT" (Comprehensive oral health assessment and treatment), and what is the difference between that and just a regular teeth cleaning?

A COHAT is performed under anesthesia, after your pet's bloodwork was reviewed by the vet. X-rays of your pet's full mouth are taken and evaluated looking for infected tooth roots that may be missed during a regular cleaning. This is the equivalent of a person having a full dental cleaning and X-rays at their dentist's office, and figuring out which teeth need extra treatment vs simply brushing your teeth at home.

Prevention of Dental Disease: Just like humans, dogs and cats can suffer from various dental problems, including plaque buildup, tartar accumulation, gingivitis, and periodontal disease. Regular COHAT procedures can help prevent these issues by removing plaque and tartar, which can lead to more severe problems if left untreated.

Pain Management: Dental disease can be painful for dogs and cats, and may affect their quality of life. Imaging having an infected tooth and being hungry! Dental radiographs and exams can identify and address any dental issues that may be causing discomfort or pain for the dog or cat. This can improve their overall well-being and happiness..

Improvement of Overall Health and quality of life: By promoting good oral health, you can contribute to your dog or cat's overall health and longevity. Healthy teeth and gums can help your pet eat comfortably and maintain proper nutrition, which is essential for their overall well-being.

Our full dental packages start at $400*, which includes blood work, IV catheter and fluids to make the anesthesia safer, dental X-rays to identify problem roots, cleaning, and polishing of the teeth.

We want to make the official announcement: We are no longer mobile. Our dear and faithful mobile has been sold.

The good news: we are much bigger now! We have moved to a permanent location in Glendale. We will be able to perform more surgeries at an affordable cost, and now we can do dentals as well! We are a spay/neuter clinic and also a general practice that will be able to meet your pet's other needs. We offer dental x-rays, same day bloodwork, heartworm tests, FeLV/FIV tests, Cytopoint, microchips, etc. We combine the affordability of a spay/neuter clinic and the experienced surgical medical staff, with the well rounded and individualized care of a general practice veterinary clinic.

Please call to make an appointment for your pet's spay/neuter or dental, mass removal, wellness visit, or if they're not feeling well. We will take care of your baby like if he were one of our own!

On Friday, we partnered with Lost Our Home Pet Rescue. Between their pets and owned ones, we spayed/neutered a total of 35 animals in one day in our mobile!!!

This little sweet face was one of the rescue girls that came to us to get fixed, and left the truck with a new home! One of our techs fell in love with her, and she couldn't leave her behind. She adopted her the same day ❤

It was a great day, with a great team, and great work!

Ever wonder how a Doberdoodle looks like? Wonder no more! This is Mindy. This sweety got spayed with us last week and she's up for adoption though Desert Harbor Doberman Rescue of Arizona. She's very smart and was a great patient at the vet!

Meet Mila:

She's a 3-4 year old French bulldog. This poor girl has had a rough life as a breeding momma dog. She was also born with a "screw tail". This means that her tail had a malformation, where it grew inwards and caused a deep skin fold around the tail. This accumulated dirt and sometimes f***s, and caused constant skin infections and a strong smell. She arrived at Desert Harbor Doberman Rescue of Arizona with an infected skin. They treated her with antibiotics and medicated shampoos, but the tail continued to cause problems.

We performed surgery to remove the abnormal tail and the infected and painful skin. Mila is now recovered from her tail surgery, spayed, her skin under treatment, and she's much happier and healthier! She's no longer stinky and her butt is not painful anymore.

She is also looking for a forever home!
