PROJECT NAME: ANIMAL CRUELTY/WELFARE AND RIGHTS
INTRODUCTION:
The group of Philippine Animal Welfare Society or PAWS is pushing for a law against animal cruelty, while some Celebrities support their campaign. The PAWS has asked the Senate to impose heavy penalties on those who mistreat animals because the Animal Welfare Act, which carries a fine of only six months and two years in prison or a fine of one thousand - or up to five thousand pesos, is not enough. their request to the senate for six years and one day and twelve years imprisonment and at least one hundred thousand fines to be imposed.
PURPOSE:
We human beings in this world are blind to the cruelty of animals but we just neglect it. Be it by indifference or law. Animal cruelty can take many different forms, but the effect is always the same. A sensible animal capable of loving and creating social relationships experiences pain, fear, and desperation. And it needs to stop.
DESCRIPTION:
In most cases, animal cruelty doesn’t feel like an immoral act to the person who commits it. He or she can justify the behavior in ways. Let’s look at a few of the most common justifications. When we view animals the same way, animal cruelty results. The animal has no more significance than a tool or device. People who mistreat animals can separate themselves from the beings they hurt, so they don’t feel as though they’re doing anything wrong.
SUPPORT:
Report animal cruelty, abuse or neglect. If you witness any form of animal cruelty, report it to the police or other authorities. Act immediately to prevent further cruelty. Demand stricter laws for the protection of animals. Stronger animal welfare laws and harsher penalties will lead to fewer cruelty cases. Teach your children to have respect for animals. Set a good example by being respectful towards animals. Show children how to treat animals with love and consideration. Help them to grow up to become the next generation of advocates for animals.
