Better late than never..

Team Tahlyn headed off to Woodstock last weekend for our first comp of the season.

Henley Farm Burosh partnered with Tahnaya and Henley Farm Fursan partnered with Camille Fitton. Both horses finished the 100km happy, healthy and looking the goods.

Huge thanks you to the ride organisers, volunteers, Team Berwick, Wendy, Rod, Von, Michelle and Paul for all your help over the weekend. Couldn’t have done it without you all!!

HOW IT WORKS

With the horses about to come back into training it is important to us that our horses start the year off feeling 100%. Zac Sefton from Sefton Pulse Therapy help recharge and ensure an issues with our horses are resolved. He is absolutely amazing at what he does and the difference in our horses is clearly obvious. He is now located in Orange and looking to service the Central west full time. Be sure to message him and try PEMF.

With our departure date looming closer and closer for this year’s Tom Quilty Gold Cup, we are placing the finishing touches on our horses.

Henley Farm Burosh and Kaitlyn Mercieca are the most suited combination and look after each other so well. Both with their intense enthusiasm and energetic personalities, they create the perfect fiery team.

Henley Farm Fursan and Tahnaya Mercieca are a partnership that has also developed over the past couple of years. His characteristics of cool and calm combined with Tahnaya’s dedication and perfectionism create an awesome team.

Off to a good start to the year at Mountain Lagoon Endurance Ride 2023

We took both Henley Farm Fursan and Henley Farm Burosh for their first 80 km ride for the year. Both horses handled the technical and challenging track very well to finish 4th in both their divisions respectively!

Canowindra Challenge Part II

What an awesome ride! Tahlyn took 2 horses for their last preparation before the Tom Quilty in July.

Kaitlyn Mercieca and Henley Farm Burosh were on fire claiming 1st junior in a time of 4 hours 58 minutes.

Tahnaya Mercieca and Henley Farm Fursan claimed second Heavyweight and Best Conditioned Heavyweight, in a time of 5 hours 5 minutes.

Huge shout out to Sefton Pulse Therapy who were at Canowindra on the weekend and are helping with our horses recovery.

Also thank you to the Ride organisers, volunteers and vets for ensuring the ride was as awesome as it was!

The most incredibly and certainly memorable weekend!

Unfortunately, Tahnaya and Henley Farm Fursan’s ride didn’t quite go to plan as she fell unwell and it wasn’t fair on him to compensate for that. But nevertheless successfully competed 90kms.

However, the true superstar of the weekend goes to Kaitlyn Mercieca and her incredible mare Henley Farm Burosh. Together these two make the perfect pair and completed the 160km ride with line honours, 1st junior and Best Conditioned, in a time of 12 hours 40 minutes. This is an incredibly achievement and true credit goes to Kaitlyn for the way she managed her horse all day with a smile on her face.

Thank you to all the strappers and everyone who pitched in over the weekend. Too many people to thank but you all know who you are and this achievement wouldn’t have been possible without every single one of you.

The end of a long day and 160kms further. Kaitlyn Mercieca and Henley Farm Burosh. 1st Across the line in the 160! Speechless about this mare. A credit goes to Kaitlyn for the way she prepared and looked after this mare. Thank you to everyone who helped today. More updates and photos to come.

Tooraweenah 2022

A weekend filled with lots of laughs and every season of weather all in one day!

Tahlyn took two home trained horses for their first 80km of the year for a very successful weekend.

Kaitlyn Mercieca was partnered with Henley Farm Burosh for 2nd Junior and presented for Best Conditioned. Despite losing a shoe they came in with a time of 6 hours 58 minutes. Thank you to Chris Geddes for putting her shoe back on! A credit goes to Kaitlyn for looking after her mare so well, she looked amazing from start to finish.

Tahnaya Mercieca was partnered with Henley Farm Fursan for 2nd Heavyweight and also presented for best conditioned. Fursan was a pleasure to ride all day and never put a foot wrong in a time of 6 hours 50 minutes.

Thank you to our riding buddy Kylie Jonkers we had so much fun riding with you and your mare!

Thank you to our parents Paul and Michelle Mercieca for your continuous support and help. Thank you to Tait Borgstahl for all your help over the weekend. Thank you to all the other strappers that stepped in to help, Lou, Chris and Jen, you’re help was greatly appreciated.

What an awesome day! Ticked off 30kms With Henley Farm Burosh and Kaitlyn Mercieca, Henley Farm Fursan and Molly Corbett, Freckle and Rebecca Plummer and Mount Macquarie Park Ayman and Tahnaya Mercieca. What a weekend. Unable to get to Woodstock this weekend we made our own training at home. 30 kilometres on Saturday on our trusty ponies Henley Farm Fursan and Henley Farm Burosh. Followed by a steady 8.5 kilometres with Macquarie Park Ayman, accompanied by Tahlyn Turbo Charged for his first time out. Thank you to Bec for coming out with us today with Freckle! Was so good to have a fun ride. Bring on 2022
