Nova just turned 8 months on the 11th...she is sister to Dar

Nova is more independent and adventurous and isn't afraid to talk back....lol....Nova is a Husky/Collie mix....she has all her vaccinations, she is also spayed and microchipped...

Nova, like her sister Dar, loves to be outside to play and romp around with her sister or the other resident dogs...Nova is kennel and house trained....she is also food and treat motivated....

Nova is not lean and slender like her sister....but more stocky....she weighs in at 46 pounds and is a medium sized girl...

Dar is a sweet and shy 8 month old Husky/Collie mix that weighs in at about 45 pounds....she is a long lean mid sized girl that is fully vaccinated, spayed and microchipped....she has been in care since she was 8 weeks old....

Dar is kennel and house trained and is seeking her furever home...she is still a puppy so has her moments of zoomies and playfulness....Dar loves to be outside to run and play with her sister Nova or the older resident dogs or even just cuddle on the couch with her hoomans.....Dar is also food and treat motivated....

Callahan does have anxiety and also has trust issues with men.....he requires someone that has time and patients to help him.....we are urgently seeking somewhere for him as where he is right now is very stressful on him and causing undue anxiety....

Meet Batman! This sweet tuxedo boy is about 6-7 months old. He was rescued as a stray from outside. He’s been in care since September working on his social skills. Batman does extremely well with other cats. He has learned to play nice and respect boundaries, with his biting at a minimum. Over Christmas, he was introduced to a visiting cat and did extremely well respecting boundaries and trying initiate play without any incidents. Batman loves toys and will spend hours playing and chasing by himself. He goes crazy for tunnels, as they make him feel safe while providing a fun place to play. Batman is still learning to trust humans, but he has come a long way over the last few months. He currently still does not want to be touched, petted, or picked up, but is asserting those boundaries through running away instead of swatting, scratching, or biting. However, if Batman is enjoying his favourite lick treat, he allows the human to clean his eye boogers, pet and brush him, and we are working on touching his paws. Batman likes to crawl into bed but is still at the stage of playing with feet instead of sleeping. He has no litter box issues. Batman loves treats and has learned to sit for them and take them (mostly gently) from fingers. He loves his nightly wet food dinner, though sometimes he gets impatient and will try to nip his foster mom’s leg to speed her up - we are working on this behaviour. Batman’s favourite place to take a nap is directly on top of the heater vents. We think Batman will do best in a home with another cat to help him continue to learn to be a proper gentleman, with a slow and supervised introduction. He will do best with adults or older children who will respect his boundaries. He is up to date on all age appropriate vaccines and is fully recovered from his neuter.

What can we say about 2024....the only thing that comes to mind is WOW ❣️

With so many highs and lows...challenges and accomplishments....continuous fundraising events....everything this year was all because of you....our supporters....our adopters....our sponsors....our foster families....our volunteers...our donators.....and of course our team 🥰

It's because of all of this we accomplished one of our biggest challenges to date...and that would be Opal....and what a way to end the year....Opal had her 6 and 12 week check-up yesterday (December 30th) for her double hip replacement and her vet Dr. Rocheleau at Espanola Animal Hospital in Chelmsford was very pleased with her progress....she is now able to have more freedom to be the girl and puppy she should be ❤️

She has one more check-up appointment in February and then she can finally be booked for her spay and microchip....she will still have to make the trip to Chelmsford once a year for her hips.....but we couldn't have asked for a better outcome for this sweet girl (who is sometimes sassy 😂😂)
