The Belgian Malinois are known to be athletic, agile, intelligent, and loyal dogs which is why they are mostly used for police and military works. At homes, they make loving house pets, aside from being excellent protectors, of course.

Originally bred to be a herding dog, this medium-sized breed loves having a job to do. They are hardworking, and would enjoy being active with their owner. Though they are commonly mistaken as a German Shepherd Dog, the Belgian Malinois is a distinct breed.

STUD SERVICE GUIDELINES

The generic terms for stud service in the Philippines is 2X mating, done every other day with a 1X backstud if the bitch does not get pregnant. The bitch and stud's mating rights are not transferrable. If a backstud is required and the stud is unavailable, it is not the stud owner's obligation to fullfill it.

In this regard, it is advisable to search for a healthy stud from a responsible owner just in case of a transfer of ownership or incapacity. Ideally, a written agreement must also be put into place before the time of the mating.

A backstud is only granted if the dam does not deliver a puppy/puppies.

It is the obligation of the bitch's owner to make sure that the maturity, health and timing of ovulation are in its optimal state at the time of mating, smear test for bitch or any ovulation test performed before confirmation to the stud owner appointment.

It is the obligation of the stud owner to make sure that the dog is of age, healthy, potent and has not been used for mating at least 1 week prior to the agreed mating date.

Both dogs should be within it's breed standard, of good temperament, fully vaccinated, cleaned, flea and tick free, and must be PCCI registered.

The shooter gets paid for his service but the owner of the dog that bites the shooter is the one responsible for the damage. This is applicable to the assistant/s too.

The stud fee is paid in full before the first mating. If a shooter is required, this is usually included in the fee unless specified otherwise. In the backstud, the bitch's owner shoulders this.

A puppy sharing agreement may also be accepted by both parties. The general norm is the stud owner gets the FIRST PICK to be taken on the puppies' 60th day...VACCINATED and PCCI REGISTERED. Owners of CHAMPION or renowned stud dogs usually get TWO picks...the FIRST PICK and FIFTH PICK.

If a mated dam's ownership is to be transferred within the puppy sharing agreement, the original owner must settle the obligation with the stud owner first.

In some cases the dam may be left at the stud owner's premises for boarding if it is allowed to. The bitch's owner must provide it's food, supplements and food bowl. While in the stud owner's care, the dam must be taken care of as if it is his own however, he is not responsible for any unforseen occurences. A boarding fee is usually collected on a per day basis.

The reservation and cancellation dates are best when confirmed in 5 days.

If both parties are responsible and knowledgeable, then it is of no one's fault if the dam does not get pregnant, delivers a few puppies or delivers sub standard puppies.

The stud owner is the last to sign on the litter registration form...only after the bitch's owner has properly filled out the necessary information along with proof of the number of puppies.

Stud service agreements are subjective and flexible.

Again, sharing is caring and its polite to ask if you want to.

To ALL BUYERS PLEASE READ..

Magkano ang presyo ng Belgian Malinois??

Madalas natin marining ang tanong na ito ngayon. Maari ka ring makakita ng iba't-ibang sagot at presyo. Subalit magkano nga ba talaga ang presyo ng isang tuta 2months pataas?

Sagot: Depende yan sa mga sumusunod:

1. Breeder - Tagapag-alaga ng hayop
2. Bloodline - Heritage or Magulang ng mga a*o at;
3. Quality - Kalidad ng tuta.

Nakakarinig or nakakaengkwentro ang karamihan sa mga breeder ng mga bogus o mga di seryosong buyer - karamihan sa kanila ay nambabarat. Yung tipong parang kasalanan pa ng breeder pag nalaman ang presyo ng kanilang Belgian Malinois.

Normal naman tumawad, pero ang mambarat - ibang usapan yon. Irara*on nila na nakakita sila ng mas "mura" sa P15,000 (oo ayan presyuhan natin para real-talk).

Para sa mga quality breeders, pwede kayong tumanggi at bigyang hustisya ang inyong mga ra*on. Sorry na lang ang mga buyers na yan - malamang gusto lang nilang tignan or nagandahan sila pero di rin alam mag-alaga.

Kung matinong buyer sila, alam nilang hindi sila pwedeng makakuha ng kasing ganda at de-kalidad na tuta sa halagang P15K lang - maliban kung "presyong kaibigan" o "bigay".

Sa simula ng iparehistro ang tuta sa PCCI or ibang associaton, pagbakuna at pagkonsulta sa Vet, pag de-worm, pagkain, pag-aruga at pagbbigay ng atensyon, katumbas lang yon ng tamang pagppresyo ng mga breeder sa kanilang mga tuta. Ang presyo ng tuta ay garantisado ng isang breeder na "Healthy" (malusog o walang sakit) ito, galing ito sa magandang bloodline at nasa kalidad.

Kaya sa mga buyers, bago bumili ay importante ang bumisita sa Kennel or bahay ng a*o. Suriin ang lugar at magkaron ng konting inspeksyon. Karapatan nyo rin yun hindi yung basta bibili na lang kayo.

May mga breeders or dog owners din na dapat matuto. Isa sa mga ipinatitigil ng gobyerno (The Philippine Animal Welfare Society-PAWS) ay ang paglako or pagbenta sa mga palengke ng tutang a*o - mga di lisensyadong breeder.

Ang de-kalidad na Belgian Malinois ay nagkakahalaga ng mahigit 35k

1. Standard - 15K-25K PHP
2. Special traits or good bloodline, line of champions) importline. - 35K-100K PHP

Kaya sa mga serious buyers o baguhan, don't settle for cheap puppies kapag quality ang hinahanap nyo. Pinakaimportante ay may guide din kayo sa pag-alaga ng a*o. Suriin din ang Kennel or tirahan ng a*o. May basehan po tayo ng presyo - (BBQ) Breeder, Bloodline, at Quality.

Sa mga breeders, iwasan mameke ng papel at manloko din ng tao. Oo marami-rami din kayo.

Wag maging kanser sa lipunan at maging responsable sa pag-alaga ng hayop kahit anong breed pa yan.
