Is breeding dogs with failed orthopedics a reputable thing to do?

In our honest opinion it is not a reputable thing to do and any breeder that breeds dogs with failing orthopedics shouldn't be trusted with any type of support/money or engagement. There are many breeders that breeds with failed orthopedics and people accept it as a reputable thing to do, when it is not and should be frowned upon.
Any breeders no matter the breed should wash any dog that has failed orthopedics like A2 - Fast Normal or Degenerative Joint Disease of any stages. This is an important thing to think about when breeding or want to become a breeder, but there are individuals and well known breeders that ignores this and still continues breeding considering everything about breeding dogs with failed orthopedics.

Ahh the lack of education in some people makes us wonder why we are doing the actual work and that people cannot be bothered to do.
That is why we do what we do, we highlight and share breeders that are unethical, unreputable and clearly ruining breeds that they have no reason to touch. If we all could put the same energy into typing comments like 'I mean your mother popped out and birthed an irrelevant person, who just so happens to be you' and actually researched and found the issues with the breeders and whatever then this community wouldn't be so toxic.
Yes we have 2 likes, we are not about the likes or the follows we are here to educate, spread awareness and hopefully bring a change to this disgusting canine community that needs to be changed. We are not gonna allow individuals to come and try and change our values and what we believe in.
We stand proud with all the posts we create and have created, we shall not be shunned with those who tries to knock us down. The Howler and like many others we run will continue to spread awareness to share and educate.

First let us say there is no such thing as 'King German Shepherds' as well as no such thing as 'Old German Shpherds' they are a backyard breeder's term and reputable breeders do not use that terminology.
Upon viewing this kennel they breed apparent 'majestic rare' shepherds which is also a known backyard breeder's terminology and they use other breeds such as Alaskan Malamutes to produce the dogs.
One of the dogs called Ridge seems to be an Eurasier mix and is one of the studs within this kennel has no titles or health testing. Actually NONE of the dogs within this kennel has any type of health testing, titles or anything that a reputable breeder would do. They charge $3.5K for a backayard bred pup with no breeding rights and only pet only.
Health records can be emailled upon request... No they should be available for everyone to view on a RELIABLE health database such as OFA and it seems that only the breeding female Mia has been health tested.

Marcato German Shepherds and why they are unethical.

Introducing Jackie Short-Nyugen the owner of Marcato German Shepherds and she specializes in American Showline German Shepherds. Jackie is rather well known within this community and she can talk the talk, but when it comes to her kennel she doesn't back down when people find out the TRUTH about her breeding kennel and her practices.
So lets have a look deeper into this so called kennel...
This kennel was founded in 2004 when Jackie purchased a byb German Shepherd called Strauss from a gas station for $250. Jackie then realized how much she loved the breed and wanted to get into breeding. Strauss is a perfect example of a backyard bred dog with weak soft ears and poor temperament and also Jackie falsified his registeration name under another kennel completely unassociated with this dog. Strauss is health tested and is a DM carrier, even though Strauss is a byb dog he still was bred. Strauss is not a perfect example of the breed and should not have been bred.
Next is Mana's 5 Cents for Advice Marcato 'Wesson', whom Jackie purchased as her foundation breeding female for her kennel. Wesson is out of Marquin's-DCT In the Snick of Time x Hi Lo's Cara Mia Greenwood, the litter in which she was within there were dogs with Megaesophagus which is a genetically potentially deadly disorder that prevents a dog from eating properly and has to be propped onto their back legs to ensure that they have digested their food properly, there were also littermates with weak/soft ears, poor temperaments and the sire has no records of health testing and the dam only has records of her Elbows which is a normal rating. This can mean 1 of 2 things, that both dogs had failing health results and was never posted on the OFA/Working dog database or they were never taken. Wesson was then bred to Stuttgart's Single Action Army v Hammersmith (which is Cowboy according to other people) and when weak nerved lines mixes with strong drives this produces unstable offspring and some of the offspring had to be euthanized due to behaviour, some had weak/soft ears that did not stand, severe allergies and so much more. This is what happens when individuals doesn't spend time finding a suitable breeding female and just pairs them with any male to produce unsound offspring. Wesson has good hips, but has a Degenerative Joint Disease Unilateral Right in her Elbows and although Jackie knows of this, she still went forth and bred Wesson MANY times resulting in some of the offspring having failed orthopedic results... Like the following:
- Marcato's Brothers in Arms has Failed Elbows (Stage 1)
- Marcato's Communique has Failed Elbows (Stage 2)
These two were both out of litters from Wesson.^

We also think that Marcato's Shame on the Moon has an elbow issue due to no records of elbow health result being on the RELIABLE health database.
Jackie has 5 of Wesson's offspring within her kennel that she has continued to breed the lineage and they are:
- Marcato's Turn the Page (Stuttgart's Single Action Army v Hammersmith 'Cowboy' x Mana's 5 Cents for Advice Marcato 'Wesson')
- Marcato's Fire Lake (Same as above)
- Marcato's Fire Inside (Same as above)
- Marcato's Katmandu (Same as above)
- Marcato's Boom Like That (Same as above)
So even knwoing that Wesson's failing Elbows and where she came from, Jackie ignored ALL of the signs and bred Wesson.
Lets move onto Mikasa (Marcato's Turn the Page) whom is out of Stuttgart's Single Action Army v Hammersmith x Mana's 5 Cents for Advice Marcato. Individual's claims that Mikasa is out of a stud called Cowboy and upon rigorous research we have found to verify that is Stuttgart's Single Action Army v Hammersmith, although Jackie has never called the stud by their rightful registered name but under 'Cowboy', for whatever reasons that may be. Mikasa has been bred twice with:
- Abijah's After Party Valor
- Majestic Imp-Cen's Dream Date
and in the litter with Majestic Imp-Cen's Dream Date there were offspring with weak/soft ears that had to be posted to stand even at a year old.
Another relative to Mikasa called Marcato's Boom Like that "Balalaika" is an untitled/unproven female that Jackie has within her kennel within both performance and in sports. Laika is also a female that Jackie bred and was way past her due date. Instead of taking Laika to a vet, Jackie thought some hard deserved shopping was more suitable than her own dog's health and in the time Jackie was splashing money, Laika gave birth to the puppies and consumed them all. You will not find this female on her website for unknown reasons, but she is still a breeding female within this kennel.
Next is Alfa z Kurimskeho haje another breeding female that is within Jackie's kennel whom she bred to Strauss. This litter should never have been created, knowing where Strauss is from and how lacking the titles within both dogs.
All in all, Jackie seems to know what she is talking about when it comes to dogs, but technically shes uneducated in proper and reliable breeding. Her kennel is so poor that she generally does not care about the wellbeing or the lack of thought within her so called breeding program. There are many other amazing German Shepherd breeders out there that you all should consider.

When looking for a professional dog trainer there are many points you need to consider to find out if they are suitable for you and your dog(s). All trainers are generally all the same in terms in what they suggest and offer potential clients and that is why asking about, finding reviews, price comparing and so much more is so important when trying to find a trianer. But you will find trainers that looks 'professional' but when they are truly are not.

Jasmine Kelem who owns The Golden Mal has been identified as NOT a professional dog trainer but someone who lies, abuses, neglects, scams and so much more. Jasmine is an individual who classes herself as a professional dog trainer and has set up a recognized business around that.

Jasmine is a rather well known individual within this toxic dog community, yes we said toxic! Jasmine and another individual works at The Golden Mal taking in dogs to board and train and other services that they both offer.

Jasmine took on an individual's dog for training sessions and the lack of professionalism from Jasmine is disgusting (lets not forget the countless scamming and other points we will be getting to). This dog is older than a year old and their owner placed their dog into Jasmine's training facility to have some guidance and some advice with the dog's training and from a 'professional' advantage, plus knowing Jasmine is a popular, well known trainer as well. They began training with Jasmine when the dog was 9 months old and there were/are some major red flags associated with Jasmine's training business which some include poor professionalism, neglect and abuse.

Jasmine would be so unprofessional and constantly reschedule and start sessions ubruptly with no communication to the individual whatsoever. This caused major confusion and issues towards the individual. Jasmine would ALWAYS be on her phone during those training sessions and constantly being distracted instead of training the dog that paid for her time and 'professionalism'. Not only Jasmine would post without the owner's permission of both of the individual and the dog but did it all knowingly.

Jasmine's training sessions are approximately $150 per hour and she would keep cutting sessions short and still charge the full amount. During those training sessions, Jasmine would recommend an E-Collar at a consultation without trying to see and understand the dog and the problem at hand, she just slapped on an E-Collar and recommended the collar must stay on nonstop apart from at night to prevent the dog from becoming 'collar smart' - She assured the owner that sores are completely normal and that her personal dog Finley gets sores all the time.

Whilst at a training session Jasmine would stim the individual's dog constantly including when chewing sticks and the first time she introduced the E-Collar to the individual's dog the dog was confused and stressed.

Whilst in Jasmine's care the individual's dog lost their food drive and the owner mentioned their concerns about this to Jasmine and she BLAMED it all on the owner and the food that it was because the owner was feeding a partial raw diet and was overweight - (even the dog was/is in perfect weight). Jasmine recommended a kibble brand that has had multiple recalls and issues with this said brand and starve the dog if they do not take food whilst training. The owner told Jasmine about the hunger pukes that their dog gets if they haven't been fed and Jasmine mentioned that she would often forget to feed the dogs under her care for a day or two and that they were fine and that the owner's dog would be fine once used to this routine, the dog then became emaciated and dehydrated to the point of visible ribs and constant gulping of water.

Jasmine told the owner of the dog that she had a high drive puppy that could not be potty trained so her choice of action was to completely dehydrate this puppy to preven him from peeing in his crate to the point of extreme dehydration that he would not touch his food.

The owner's dog was not looked after AT ALL, when the individual got their dog back, she came back stinking, with long nails and plaque build up in her teeth, although Jasmine ASSURED that the dog would be looked after whilst in her care - the dog was not groomed during the entire month within Jasmine's care.

The owner's dog had MULTIPLE open and bleeding sores from the E-Collar from constant usage and stim that Jasmine performed on this dog. The dog had good obedience and food drive but now would get extremely stressed and shut down and panic when corrected. Jasmine used the E Collar as her main training method and she used it DANGEROUSLY.

Jasmine has taken many board and train dogs under her wing, one in particular applied for the board and train service that Jasmine offered and never did a consultation with the owner or the dog in question, she never asked for information about the dog or previous situations to get an understanding of the dog. Jasmine never disclosed any information about wherabouts Jasmine would be keeping the dog, instead she demanded to meet in a parking lot. Jasmine barely spoke to the owners of the dog and never asked for any information about the dog's past and current situations, there were no forms or contracts provided and she never assessed the dog to see the problems/issues that she could aid with.

Jasmine never asked about feeding habits, how many times the dog eats, what quantity - nothing. Jasmine promised a daily update when the dog achieved their milestones, and the owner barely even got 2 from Jasmine.
Overall Jasmine has starved dogs, dehydrated dogs, abused MULTIPLE dogs and so much more.
Trainers such as Jasmine Kelem shouldn't own a business let alone a dog, they are the reason why so many people believes R+ training works better when both BALANCED and R+ works PROPERLY and SAFELY.
