Ask me if I knew there was a hole in the buck pasture fencing on Aug 6 just 2 weeks after moving here. Ask me if I knew the bucks were cavorting with the gals who were - apparently - mostly all in heat?

3 surprise bebes last night. 2 more goats in labor right now. Coldest temps of the season on deck this week. If you need me, don’t. I’ll be treading water (ice) til Feb.

Buttercup gave birth to 2 bucklings today. I was really hoping for a doeling from her so I could have 3 generations on the farm but we didn’t get one this year. Maybe next year she will give us one.

It has been a busy day on the farm preparing for the winter 🥶 blast we are supposed to have this week! Barns and chicken coops clean! Parsley the rabbit is thrilled to have a cardboard box to call her own. Sweet Ruthie and Derby spent the day with the new babies. Those two have the sweetest bond. Which btw they are looking for new a new farm ♥️ we want them to go together! Tough cuts this year due to retaining so many new babies that have our herd name. ▪️ELVIS GOT EM ALL SHOOK UP—when he was born his back hocks were hyper-extended. So when he was learning to walk his back legs would shimmy looking like he was dancing…like Elvis🕺

▪️ TUTTI FRUITTI DIP N DOTS —I was determined to name her dip n dots, added tutti fruitti for the Elvis ‘theme’

The 🐐s favorite part of Christmas? Eating the tree! 🌲 Feel free to drop yours off this week if it is free of ornaments and not treated with pesticides or artificial color.
