⁣⁣
Toto came all the way from Argentina to live with his family after a half year delay. Toto does not have any major issues, just some minor ones such as impulse control and overpowering his housemate. His housemate is trained by us years ago and his owners want to start him straightaway to get him on the same system with his housemate so that communication is clear and they can be managed properly and easily.

SMALL GROUPS Training

An ongoing weekly program that focuses on one single thing(recall, traffic, kids, vehicles) to work on each session. Dogs with similar foundations and temperaments will be grouped together to promote learning.

A total of 4 sessions, The final session will include a breakdown of every dog's progress, what to take note of, how to continue improving and the opportunity to train together with other dogs in a semi-controlled and guided environment.

This program is suitable for young, learning dogs with or without foundations and suitable for owners who are looking to participate hands on to understand their dogs and stabilise ideal behaviours.

The first group is starting in Mid September!

[Fitness Equipments Basics]

Going up platforms with different stabilities and textures can be difficult for many dogs. Learn how to shape and guide your dog up fitness equipments of different textures, shapes and sizes, how to encourage your dog to try and how to bring out their confidences. Take some handling skills back to continue this at home ground or outdoors.

Date and Time: 1st October 3.30-4.30pm

Molly is here because she is fearful of the outside environment. She stalls if she does not feel like going out and stalls when she feels or hears something that she is concerned about. Molly’s owners struggle to have desirable engagements with her and Molly lacks awareness towards her owners. Molly also needs to work on her impulse control. Molly is currently a blank sheet, she knows nothing and is a little bit aloof. Hopefully we can get some foundation in the next two weeks and get Molly into a better state.

Bubbles has trouble staying still. She has to be at the centre of attention all the time. Bubbles doesn’t settle when things are going on, regardless of how far it is and what it is. Bubbles are enemies with a particular brand of electronics and she bites them once she hears it. Bubbles also does not get along with most dogs, she does sneak attacks and some times fight with them, she does not tolerate dogs even if they are far away. Bubbles also does not do well with fast going wheeled objects, joggers, kids. Bubbles is unable to be alone, she is also unable to travel out of her estate as she gets too excited and gets out of control.

Join us for our first round of Walk & Train Owner’s Edition where we will all work together as a pack, move as a pack and learn as a pack.⁣

We start off with a walk together, we will move and stop together, if one needs to stop, all will stop. If one barks and needs time to settle, all will wait. Next we will proceed indoor for our usual group place distractions where you can find out how good your place training and impulse control training really is and finally to the extracurricular activity where owners work with their dogs through simple obstacles without the use of physical rewards. Each owner will handle her own dog while moving and working together with all the owners and dogs around.⁣

This is a great time for you to see how you and your dog will do in an environment with such intensity, how good are you at managing your dog in a pack setting, where you and your dog are lacking, which area you are excelling at and whether you are heading in the right direction or the direction that you want to.⁣

Rocky has a list of issues that his owner would like to work through. The highest on the list is his reactivity in lift, lift lobbies and along the corridors. Rocky barks, lunges, snarls and redirects when there are neighbours, strangers, people with objects approaches that area. Rocky is also reactive to people when he is outside, more so during the night regardless of whether they are looking at him or standing near him minding their own businesses. Rocky is also reactive to objects that make loud noises, trolleys, skateboards, motorcycles. Rocky is also afraid of thunder and reactive to dogs, particularly dogs who are staring at him or walking towards him.⁣

The workshop aims to cover how we raise puppies and young dogs from the very beginning. Basic handling and grooming, leaving your puppy alone at home, feeding routines and how to pick a dog walker, daycare or boarding that is suitable for you and your dog, understanding your dog and common issues and mistakes.⁣

Snoopy is unreliable on walks, he tends to be explosive at the start, sniffing and marking. He walks okay, until he sees dogs, birds and some humans and some wheeled objects. Snoopy may bark and lunge at dogs if he does not get to interact, during interaction, he is awkward and tends to hump other dogs. Snoopy is reactive to kids and barks at every slight noise regardless of him being indoor or outdoor. Snoopy is also very fidgety and does not settle even at home, he is always on the move unless he is in his pen. ⁣

Snoopy is here to learn so that he can begin a new relationship with his owners and go out to have fun.

Tiberius’ owner wants him to learn how to walk properly on a leash and reduce demand barking. Tiberius is scared of many things, he is especially scared of buses, trucks and anything that makes a loud noise. Tiberius is highly food motivated, he will approach anyone with food and will not do anything once food is not present. Tiberius stops when he wants to, with his growing size, it can become hard for his owner to bring him out even though he is otherwise well behaved and responsive to his owner.⁣

Junior is here to better his walking skills. Junior is generally easy going at home, but when he is outside, he can’t settle down without poking his nose in everything. He pulls on walks in all directions and he marks a lot on walks. When he sees dogs, he may bark to greet and if he gets to greet, he may snap very quickly. He doesn’t settle at cafes and if he sees someone he knows, he has to greet regardless of what he is told to do. ⁣⁣

It’s time to help Junior and his owners get to a new level in their relationship.

Summer is here to learn how she can better use her energy and live a more peaceful life with her family. Summer is extremely playful with dogs, she wants to play with every dog she sees, when other dogs ignore her, she may lunge and bark at them. At home, she attacks her elderly housemates when food is around and has injured them a couple of times. When Summer gets bored, she chews her house down, she chews walls and furnitures. Summer is also afraid of her elevated bed and has not been able to go up to the bed. Outside, Summer pulls hard on walks and is too human friendly, she jumps at every human especially toddlers. In cafes, Summer may steal food from tables and is generally not reliable. Summer also does not do well when one family member walks away when she is outdoors. ⁣

Guinness is very timid, he hides away from everything and anything that is out of the ordinary to him. He is afraid of any moving objects from traffic to bicycles to people so he hasn’t been able to go on regular walks for a very long time. He is afraid of objects both outdoors and indoors, at home, he will stay at one corner if an object is blocking his way. Guinness spins, rushes, shivers and moves away whenever he is not comfortable. Guinness gets loose stools at any new environment. He is generally so timid that his owner is unable to bring him out and about normally as all Guinness wants to do is hide.⁣

Lots of work to be done to get Guinness ready for his adventures with his owner.

Nala barks. She barks at home, she barks outdoors, she barks at anyone and anything. Nala does not do well with wheels objects, joggers, cyclists, people in the lift, people passing by her house and kids. While Nala is mostly good with dogs, she barks if she doesn’t get to greet or play with them and she retaliates if she is being reacted upon. Nala does not do well on car rides, she drools and may puke. Nala pulls on walks and barks at people walking pass or towards her. When there are no distractions, she does okay but walks in a zigzag manner. ⁣

Her owners would like her to be less nervous and be able to bring her out without barking all the way.

Pretzel is here to learn to be more confident, have better self awareness and to fix some minor issues. Pretzel is gentle but fearful, she only walks well in a quiet environment when there are no distractions. She is afraid of things such as prams, scooters and bicycles coming from the back. She is generally wary and uncomfortable outside. Pretzel marks on walks and barks at the door. Pretzel has had some exposure and experiences with the ecollar and currently walks with a prong collar so that her owner can have some control of her on walks. ⁣⁣

Pretzel will be reconditioned to the ecollar, have the prong collar removed and start to learn how to better work with her handlers so that her owner can enjoy better outings with her.⁣⁣

Ziggy is here to learn how to better contain his excitement. Ziggy is constantly anxious and excited when he is outside, lots of head spinning, scanning, occasional tugging and lunging, panting and overall just unable to calm down. Ziggy is described to be skittish, excited and curious. He also has some food aggression issues. Ziggy’s owners would like to be able to enjoy a regular walk with him without having him overly aroused and on a look out for everything. Overall they just want him to be able to pay more attention to them instead of being hyper alert to the environment when he is outside, have more confident with himself and also more relaxed, enough to be able to enjoy a good old walk together.

Leo is a highly anxious dog. He has a history of snapping at both owner and guests when he is anxious and uncomfortable. Leo has the tendency of continuously going after whoever he was snapping until he is removed. Leo also needs to learn how to better walk on leash and needs to have better meal manners. Leo is always anxious outdoors, always looking on the look out for something. Leo’s owners are unable to remove his bowl when there is food in it. ⁣
