Day 2 with Ham
He has learned down/lay down, and now leave it. Of course he still is learning but as of now he's doing wonderful
Leave it was a tough command for him but after a while he got it down. It's a great impulse control command that helps your dog understand leaving things alone even when they want to fight the urge to get it. Having ham know this is a great command especially since the owners do have a little one running around! Ham is learning that he's not allowed to take/eat things that aren't his off the floor unless it's given by the "adults". This is also great for situation let's say the kid has a piece of food, for example candy aka chocolate, and the kid drops it on the floor, your dog knows not to eat it right away and leave it even without the "leave it" command. I also want him to know not to take things out of the baby's hand so again leave it is a great communication and impulse command
And it's also great for wildlife or other things, like if there was an animal in your yard and you don't want your dog to run after it.
But anyways, ham is working on not only down and leave it but also stay and come! And not jumping on people as well
He's very smart boy, I'm already super proud of him 🥰
