❤️ ADOPTION ALERT:

Maximus is a 2-and-a-half-year-old male Iguana who is still adjusting to handling but will warm up with patience and time. He’s in the process of gaining weight and would thrive in a home with someone who understands proper iguana care. Maximus would do best in a household without young children, where he can receive the attention and care he needs. If Maximus sounds like the perfect fit for your home, apply today!

❤️URGENT ADOPTION ALERT:

Rey is a 6-year-old male ball python who can be a bit shy at first, but enjoys exploring and doesn’t mind being handled. He has a preference for his food to be extra warm. Unfortunately, Rey’s previous adoption fell through, so he’s back on the hunt for his forever home! He’s had a rough start in life with improper care, which caused him to be stunted, but he’s ready for a fresh start. Rey is seeking a loving, responsible owner who will provide him with the care he deserves. Could that be you? Rey hopes so!

If you are interested please click the link below to apply to adopt this cutie:

⭐️TRIGGER WARNING: A few images of some eye issues with a leopard gecko intake 🌟

🧡💛Meet Ginger. We believe she has stuck shed in her eye. Her previous owners had trouble with regulating the humidity and temperature in the new home. The photos seen here are of her eyes are from before the shedding process. The shed that has been removed so far is minimal. The fragmented shed is from the eye that appears worse, while the intact shed cap came from the eye that looks better. In the photo of her stomach, the white area on the left is a mass.

🌿Heres two tips to help with humidity and leopard geckos:

1) Substrate: Choose a substrate that retains some moisture, like coconut fiber, or sphagnum moss. Avoid loose substrates like sand, which can cause impaction.

2) Provide a humid hide or shed box where your leopard gecko can retreat during shedding. This hide should have higher humidity levels than the rest of the enclosure.

To create a humid hide:
Use a small container or a hide with a lid.
Add a damp substrate (such as sphagnum moss or paper towels) inside the hide. Ensure it’s moist but not soaking wet.
Place the humid hide in the warm side of the tank to promote shedding.

To help with costs for Ginger's vet visits or to help other reptiles like Ginger, you can donate or purchase off our Etsy and all proceeds will go to the reptiles we care for 💓 Interacting and sharing posts also helps us greatly.

🐍💚VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT💚🐍

A huge thank you to Madi Rivera, one of our amazing foster champion at A Shedding Chance Reptile Rescue Inc.! Madi joined our foster family on February 6th, and we’ve been so excited to have her on board. Just two weeks after joining, we encountered a serious medical emergency with a red-tailed boa who needed surgery and was suffering from severe stomatitis. Madi stepped up without hesitation to care for Noodle, dedicating herself to his recovery and consistently keeping us updated on his progress. We’re beyond thrilled to have Madi on our team!

We need to understand the whole story of the animal before we take any surrender in. We do not operate a facility— we are volunteers who work out of our homes. We require a $50 surrender fee.

WE STILL NEED HELP!!! These are the low and high end estimates for our Rhino Iguana’s spay and we are no where near covering the smaller estimate let alone the huge one.

If 1,000 people donated only $1, we could afford her lower surgery price. Please help.
