Kevin is becoming a lot more social and not hiding every time he sees his foster mom Madi! She has slowly been incorporating more hay and less greens, and he is being such a good sport about it. We are so proud of how well he’s doing. His increase in activity level is most likely a combination of him settling in to his environment and the decrease in parasite load making him feel more comfortable. He will be available for adoption as soon as he is clear of parasites 💚

Maria is one of our volunteers foster fails, she absolutely could not let go of this little peanut once she took her in! If you are interested in a pet Russian tortoise, we have our found outside female Taffy up for adoption! Our male Kevin is still being treated for pinworms, but will be up for adoption as soon as he’s all cleared. We do not know either of their ages, and it is important to remember these tortoises can live for well over 50 year!
