Meet our newest rescue: FLAPJACK! For all of those who guessed a bearded dragon on our facebook post, you are so right! Flapjack is a sweet 10 year old, male bearded dragon. Flapjack wants love more than any bearded dragon I’ve ever met. He is so aware and loves people so much. Flapjack is currently staying with our foster @alex_grady913 ! He has been adjusting well and eating good. Alex will be soaking Flapjack while taking a soft bristle tooth brush to rub his pores. This is Crush, a Mississippi Map turtle that we saved from an animal hoarding call. Crush now lives with a dear friend of mine who reported to the event with me. Crush was found in water soaked in mechanical oil. We weren’t sure if Crush was going to make it, but with the awesome support of a close friend and volunteer of mine, Crush made it! Sad news. Ivy the panther chameleon, we just rescued) passed away in our foster’s arms. Ivy has a severe respiratory infection with mucus coming out of her mouth and nose. We has hope that she would pull through, however, we were just too late. I am so sorry to the family who tried and loved her. Hi Rescue Fam! Miss Evie is making progress slowly but surely in her foster home. She still struggles opening both eyes, but we have caught her a few times opening both when roaming. Feeding is difficult due to her having issues seeing, but she has been getting some liquid diet to get her nutrients and sometimes will eat a wormie if she can smell it. She currently has conjunctivitis caused by low Vitamin A. She is on two eye drops and two medications along with some saline rinses for her little eyes.🧡 There is a concern she may lose vision in one or both of her eyes, but we are hoping for the best for her. We were hosting a raffle with an exclusive Otis Zilla UK poster from Garden State Tortoise signed by Chris and Casey Leone. On top of it, beautiful, ethically bred ball python by Pinup Pieds. We recognize the backlash that happened as a result of the idea of “raffling off a life”, however, I believe the miscommunication and misreading of the rules of that raffle caused us a lot of hate.
