“How I became an Animal Communicator”, or “How did a nice (analytical) girl like you end up in a (crazy woo woo) place like this?”

Yes, I was a systems analyst and programmer. Yes, I have common sense. No, I didn’t just go off the deep end. What do you do when your body stops working? When you have to spend a minimum of 16 hours a day in bed and most of the rest of the day prone on the couch? Wel

l, I thought, I have always had a love of animals and a desire for helping animals and people. It’s why I became a vet tech, a rescuer, and a shelter volunteer. What can I still do to help them? Two things came to me. One was to create a business selling inexpensive, effective Heartworm Preventative – the same type we use in the shelters – and donating a portion of sales (see my Shelter Helper Shop). The second was being an animal communicator. Even when I was working full time as a programmer and systems analyst I would connect to animals that had passed. Acquaintances in the office would lose a dear companion and I would approach them, hesitantly, with messages from their grieved pet. This was in an IT department of 200 people, in a government agency of 3,000. Not a place where things like this were mentioned, but I felt it was my duty to pass on the information that I received. Each and every time that I did, the person was so appreciative (and amazed). How did I know that I wasn’t just making it all up? Well, once in a while, I would get a message out of the blue. I’d be thinking of something else entirely and I’d get this blast of information. It literally brought me to my knees a time or two, which was a shock I can tell you. Those times, especially, proved to me that this information, these pictures, feelings, and words, were coming from them, not from me. OK, so I want to be an Animal Communicator. I have some idea that I can do this. Where do I go from here? After much discussion with my long-suffering husband, I committed what was left of my energy and money to a full-on mastery program in Animal Communication. I spent 18 months working on it. I honed my skills. I built up my intuitive muscles. I conversed with everything from dogs, cats, horses, and birds to an orangutan, a porcupine, and a prairie dog. I spoke with those that were living, those that had passed, and those that were teetering on the edge between. So, that’s how I got here. I believe in science and spirituality. I connect with animals and people. I am an analytical intuitive. And I'd love to help you!

The Princess and the Zen Master.

So, what’s it like talking to animals (and getting answers)? Well, it’s not like you see in the movies! At least, not for me. I’m not Doctor Doolittle. I don’t hear a speaking voice. I am very visual, and for me, the information comes in the form of pictures and feelings with a few words thrown in.

Sometimes the pictures that I receive are hilarious!

I was fortunate enough to be able to speak with several family members belonging to Leseley Van Vlack - McDowell. The two in the photos were such opposites, but both made me laugh!

The initial one to speak to me was a 130lb Dogue de Bourdeax, just under 2 years old. The first thing she said was that she was a Princess (yes, with a capital “P”). And then she sent the image of herself in stately repose, wearing a tiara. I burst out laughing. I’m sorry, Dorothy-Anne! I know you were being serious, but it was a HOOT!

Her older sister is a 3 year old, blind, poodle mix with a traumatic past. And, OH, what a wise old soul! She is beautiful and amazing! Her past doesn’t bother or affect her at all. "It's in the past," she says. If we could all be like this girl! And the image I received made me laugh, yet again! She showed me a cartoon image of herself, sitting in the lotus position, meditating, with a smile on her face. Wisdom with a sense of humor!

Oh, if I could only paint the pictures that I see!

What will your animal friends show me?

It can be difficult to put yourself out there as an intuitive, especially for someone with a scientific/analytical background.

My work backgrounds have been as a veterinary technician and a programmer and systems analyst. So, stepping into the light as an animal communicator has been a challenge. Knowing that I can connect and communicate is amazing, but will “they” think.

I’ve been working with an amazing woman and mindset coach, Allyson Roberts, and I’m willing to put myself out there now. This past week she had me on a live call in her private group, Outrageous Results. I was able to check in briefly with 9 different animals during the call.

I’m excited to be able to share the replay with you!

You can skip to about minute 3, to the start of the interview. We were having some tech issues, lol.

I received a lovely email from one of my clients. She adopted a cat several months ago, from a foster home. She doesn't know any of his background beyond that. She provided a safe and loving home with herself and her other friendly cat. But, even after months, the new cat would still startle and hide at the slightest provocation. He would start to play, but then get skittish and leave, or only watch the other cat play.

When I was able to talk to him, it felt like his mother had been feral and that's where his programming was. So, even though he was safe and loved, he was still on edge and skittish and couldn't really relax. That reptilian brain was on all the time and it was also affecting his immune system and his health. The great news, was that he wanted to let it go, he just didn't know how. We were able to do some amazing work together using EFT Tapping to bring up and release a lot of fear and anxiety. He did great job of shifting those beliefs!

After two sessions, here is what she wrote (posted with prior permission, of course!):
"I just some time playing with the cats with their favorite toy, feathers on a stick. What was so surprising is that Frito played with all his energy and focus. He was running after the feathers as I swept them along the floor. At first I thought he was Bradley because I’d only seen Bradley do that, but no! It was Frito!! Bradley was watching Frito play!! This is so awesome!!"

I'm so happy for this family! 🥰🥰🥰

What can I help you with?

Animal Communication: I act as an interpreter between an animal and their human. I tune in to the animal and receive images/words/feelings, and ask and answer any questions that come up.

Emotional Healing: EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping, is used to bring up and release negative emotions and to replace them with thoughts/beliefs that are positive. I do EFT Tapping for both humans and animals.

Physical Healing: Distance healing using scalar wave to support the body.
