Did you know that toy breeds are prone to reactivity? It’s a big world for tiny beings, which means it can be quite intimidating. Toy breeds are also the least likely to have their boundaries respected, leading to bigger reactions!

Basic obedience training is so important to build a relationship with your new puppy, and give them the structure and boundaries to thrive in our big, confusing world!

The handsome Storm has been having a blast in his puppy classes! He’s a typical husky with lots to say, but so so eager to learn and work! Next week will be his biggest challenge with leave it!

Meet the pups of Catherine’s Canine Classes! 🦮
Vex’ahlia may be my training assistant, but none of this would be possible without the pup that inspired my love for dog training, Talitha.

Talitha is my family’s toy poodle that I began training as a child, and even though she is 9 years old, she still has just as much drive to learn as any young puppy!

Vex’ahlia came into my life at a year old, after spending 8 months on the streets of Mexico, and the next few months in a shelter. While she came with no training (don’t worry I tried Spanish 😉), she has blossomed into a fantastic demo dog and working companion! I call her my little work in progress, but she’s perfect in every way. She has her own Instagram if you’d like to follow along with her adventures!

My name is Catherine, and I am a certified, accredited, and knowledge assessed dog trainer serving the Lower Mainland. From puppy pains, anxiety, to reactivity, I train it all! By looking at your whole dog, I will help you to understand each other, and create a lifelong bond. ❤️

I began dog training a little over five years ago, and have never looked back. By training through multiple facilities, I’ve earned a wide range of knowledge that will help you and your pup form the bond you’ve always dreamed of! I strive to constantly expand my education, so you can be sure the training you and your dog receive is of the highest quality! ✨

My street mutt Vex’ahlia is my training companion, helping me to challenge your dog and demonstrate skills for all of my virtual students! You’ll see lots of her on this page, showing off many of the skills you can learn in my classes!
