Pye Dog Rescue My name is Krista. I have worked in rescue for several years but am just one person who wants to occasionally help a dog in need.

ADOPTABLE!! Hey friends. Just a reminder that Kendall is STILL available for adoption. She’s come close to being adopted a couple of times, but for various reasons that were not her fault, the adopters backed out. She really deserves her very own home. Here’s her basic info…

Meet beautiful, Kendall. Kendall was found as a stray yet is a wonderful, friendly and sociable girl. She is sweet and well-behaved as well as house trained. Kendall would do well with someone who is home most of the time or who can bring her along on adventures, since she becomes very attached. She wants to be beside her foster mom all of the time! She gets along well with the other dogs in the home and would do just fine with a dog savvy cat. She and her cat foster brother even cuddle on the couch together. She has not been tested with kids but it is likely she would do well with them as well.

Kendall likes to chill with her person but also has a silly side and still likes to play. She is also very food motivated which is great for training. She is not too sure what to do with toys but has shown some interest. She is good on leash but can pull when she sees a squirrel. She is also not a vocal girl. Kendall is basically the perfect girl looking for a family who will shower her with all of the love she so deserves.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share the most incredible update. It’s been a couple of months since Churro (aka Pirata) was adopted, and he is living the dream. He has found the perfect family who loves him to the moon and back. You can see how much the kids adore Churro. The family includes him in their road trips and adventures. Good news! Kendall successfully got through her surgery today. Turns out, she wasn’t spayed (even though we all believed she was) but now it’s official. We have the spay certificate to prove it. Kendall is recovering nicely at home in her bodysuit, which makes her look a lot like Dieter from the old SNL episodes. 😂 Once she has made a full recovery she will be available for adoption. Stay tuned!

Kendall love, love, LOVES her walks along the beach. Just a few more days until her surgery to remove the remaining ovarian tissue causing her to get painful infections. This may also stop my male dog from acting a little TOO Interested in sweet Kendall. 🙈 In the meantime, I try to keep them separated and make sure that Kendall’s days are filled with fun. After she recovers from her surgery, Kendall will be put up for adoption. She may be the sweetest, and the cutest little pup I have ever had the pleasure to foster. She is very good with both of my dogs and my cat. She’s friendly when meeting new people. She’s very excited about squirrels, but she is otherwise excellent on leash. Whoever adopts this girl will be very lucky indeed.

Hi everyone. Just an update that Kendall is settling in beautifully with my crew. She is just the sweetest little girl with the most loving and affectionate personality. She’s truly a gem. Unfortunately, she is experiencing a health issue that requires surgery. She was spayed during a mass spay/neuter campaign a few years ago, but it appears that the spay procedure was not done properly and ovarian tissue was left behind. This has not only caused Kendall to exhibit symptoms of being in heat, but it is also causing painful infections. She’s currently on antibiotics clear up the infection but the vet is recommending surgery to rectify this situation so she won’t be prone to more infections. The medical expense will likely cost around $750, an expense that the rescue (aka me!) was not anticipating . I am just one person helping one dog at a time so don’t have a reserve fund. Any donations would be greatly appreciated and can be sent by e-transfer to [email protected]. If by some miracle we raise more than needed, the excess will be used to help another dog!

KENDALL/5.5 yrs/SPAYED FEMALE/COLLIE CHIHUAHUA MIX/VACCINATIONS CURRENT

We are excited to announce that Kendall will be joining our rescue on November 19. She was found as a stray yet is still friendly and sociable. She is sweet and well-behaved as well as house trained. She loves her people and enjoys cuddling on the couch with her humans.

Kendall is good with other dogs and seems indifferent to cats. She loves going for walks and car rides and (like all pups) loves her treats and bones. She is crate trained, and walks well on the leash.

She will be fostered in Crystal Beach, Ontario. After her arrival, her foster will get to know her better and then she will be put up for adoption. 🐕🐕🐕

Remember Milo? He was a dog who was just about to be sent back to Mexico by an Ottawa rescue because he didn’t get adopted. Well, the Fates intervened, and Milo was surrendered to Pye Dog and made his way to Toronto, where he met his amazing forever family (thanks to ). Milo’s humans are dedicated dog people who are putting in the work and making him the best dog he can be. His new family, including his new sister, Shiva, already love him so much and can’t imagine life without him. It’s the perfect match. Happy Tails Milo! Your wonderful life has officially begun. .

ADOPTED! Hi everyone. I am posting this for . Meet Milo. He is a very good boy who was brought to Canada in April of this year and has been fostered near Ottawa since that time. He needs a foster or adopter anywhere in central or southern Ontario (but not in the city) before September 12, or he will be forced to go back to Mexico, which is not a good scenario for this wonderful boy. He is happy and friendly and playful, but can be selective with other male dogs so he would be best in a home with another female dog rather than a male. If you know anyone who might be able to step in to avoid him having to go back to Mexico, where his prospects for a forever home are almost zero, please reach out. I can connect you with Brittany who will be able to provide you more detailed information. Worse comes to worse, I would take on responsibility for him myself. I just can’t foster him because I have a male dog in the house. Is there anyone who would be willing to help?
