It’s only Thursday, and we’ve already pulled 3 dogs from Caddo, tagged 2 from Desoto, rescued 2 stray dogs, and welcomed 8 kittens. And that’s on top of the 60+ messages and calls we’ve received about surrenders and found strays that we, unfortunately, had to turn down. We’re doing everything we can, little by little, but we need the community to do their part. Together, we can make a bigger difference!

Job Requirements:
We’re looking for passionate dog lovers who can work both independently and as part of a team. You must be hands-on, ensuring the well-being and cleanliness of our facilities, and be 21 years or older. Flexible availability is a must, with day, evening, and weekend shifts. While experience is preferred, it’s not required. We're open to those willing to learn new skills and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
Your primary duties will include caring for dogs by feeding, exercising, and monitoring their health. You’ll maintain the cleanliness of kennels and play areas, supervise dogs during playtime, communicate effectively with team members and pet owners, and administer medications while following care instructions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are essential. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the physical ability to handle large and active dogs. Reliability and punctuality are a must.

Pavement Temperature Guide for Dog Paws:
• Below 77°F (25°C): Safe for paws. Enjoy walks any time of day.
• 77-87°F (25-31°C): Use caution. Walk during cooler parts of the day.
• 88-99°F (31-37°C): High risk of paw burns. Limit walks to early morning or late evening.
• Above 100°F (38°C): Extremely dangerous. Avoid walking on pavement.
To prevent burns, test the pavement with your hand. If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your dog! Opt for grassy areas or protective booties during peak temperatures. 🌞🐾
