Today, we’re feeling extra thankful—for each other, for the incredible animals we have the privilege to work with, and for the breathtaking scenery that surrounds us every day. We’re especially grateful for the little moments, the ones that quietly shape us into who we are.

We received a message today that absolutely warmed our hearts!

At The Golden Horse we not only train horses, but we build close connections with them! It can be so hard to see them go. But it always makes it so much easier when we know they are going to loving families that adore them!

If any of you remember this sweet girl, Fawkes, found her new home earlier this year in Texas! She is doing better than good, she is THRIVING!!! The kids absolutely spoil her rotten and she is so sweet with them. We even hear she is being used in a 4-H show because of how well-behaved and safe she is. Happy to see you sweet girl! Miss you Fawkes!!

were given the task
to draw up papers
for freedom at last.

Thomas Jefferson,
we can remember.
A founding father,
Patriot and a Continental member.

Together these men
drafted the amendments.
Franklin, Livingstone, Sherman and Adams,
united they authored the Declarations of Independence.

Battles were fought,
and blood was shed.
Life was lost,
and men were dead.

“FREEDOM” came with
A heavy price.
War is not pretty,
nor is it nice.

We can thank
the Lord above.
He gave us these United States,
a country we can love.

Men fought for our freedom,
and with their lives they did pay.
That’s why we celebrate
Independence Day.

Copper is a fantastic family horse. He loves people and is very gentle. He is the perfect hunting/packing/mountain horse and we have had zero problems with him on the trails. He is smart, strong, and no nonsense in the mountains. Picks his way wonderfully, travels smoothly, doesn’t spook, just drops his head and grinds. He’s the horse we never worry about on the trail. Packs meat with no problems. Ponies well. Follows nose to tail just fine, and will take the lead just fine. His gait is awesome and he will get you places fast and comfortably. He never needs shoes, even in Rocky terrain. His feet are hard and healthy and our farrier continues to be impressed with him.

Copper has worked as a hunting horse, worked in a dude ranch string a handful of times, worked as a pack horse, a trail horse, he’s gathered/sorted cows, been a ba****ck pasture horse for children (under supervision), and has had his share of time in the arena. He’s the perfect “husband horse” for trail riding and has been a trail riding horse for children, elderly folks, and many beginners.

Copper is about 14.1 hands high but is very big b***d in his legs and strong, so he can still carry a good load. He is very comfortable to ride because he isn’t too wide and has a very smooth way of moving. He loves people and is a very sweet gelding. Message me with any questions, and we can go from there!

Lucy is one in a million! She was fantastic for our beach photoshoot with I could go again and again! Riding her over the sand and the waves was like a dream.

You’ll have a hard time finding a horse as snuggly and sweet as he is, with the spirit and drive to conquer any type of terrain you throw at him!

Copper is a papered Missouri Foxtrotter gelding, who just turned 13 years old. His feet are hard as rocks and he never needs shoes. Standing around 14/14.1 hands, he is stout and sturdy, ready for tough adventures with dad or relaxing pony rides with the kids.

Copper has been sitting in his sisters shadow for a while now, it’s about time we put the spotlight on him! He is such a sweet gelding with the patience of Job, and the heart of a lion! Whenever I’m stressed, or just had a rough day, he’s the horse I know I can count on for a safe, relaxing ride.
Copper is 13 this year, stands just shy of 14.2, and is stout and strong! He gaits like a dream and shares many of the same qualities of his sister Holly. I’m excited for you to get to see more of this gelding and fall in love with him just as I have!

This Missouri Foxtrotter Mare sells today. Her auction ends at 6:00pm American/Chicago time (5:00pm MDT). You don’t want to miss out on this fancy, good minded, well broke, mountain/trail/family horse. Her resume is quite impressive and she has yet to disappoint in a variety of terrain. Mountains, creeks, rocky hills, bridges, snow, puddles, city streets, cars, gravel, bikers, arenas (indoor and outdoor), she’s handled it all with tact and great skill. She is fancy broke for arena riding (or the trails) and will perform a variety of tricks and difficult maneuvers on the ground and under saddle.

On top of her incredible riding and athletic ability, Holly is a wonderful partner and friend. She is very friendly and enjoys the company of people. Hanging out with her in the pasture, sitting on her ba****ck, is one of my favorite things to do. She is extremely aware of her rider, and has an attitude to take care of whoever is on her back.

Horses like her are hard to find, with beautiful color, a solid mindset, incredible fitness, and just the right build. Her training is just the cherry on top! Don’t hesitate to make this horse your own today.
