Why is confidence so important in your dog ?⬇️

Helping your dog build confidence is key to them feeling more secure, which then will make them more resilient to stress and improve their behavior towards triggers.

If you do not teach your dog properly how to be confident and maneuver through stress your behavioral training will be a lot less successful.

Reactivity stems from fear and lack of proper guidance through a triggering situation for whatever your dog may be deeming stressful. No reaction sometimes is the best reaction 👏🏼

What’s a healthy relationship between your two pups ? ⬇️

Some think it’s appropriate and a “good” relationship between two dogs to be CONSTANTLY playing. This is false.

A healthy relationship between two dogs yes involved play and proper communication between the two understanding play tactics and roles in the pack, but most lack neutrality, and calmness. If your dogs can “play for hours” you may want to consider crate rotating in small portions or crate decompression for both at certain points to also teach them calmness around each other.

For example:

This is Duffy, and Oona 😍 Oona came in as a wild little puppy, and Duffy is older with a much calmer temperament. Oona was sitting on him, standing over him when he would lay down, and constantly biting his ears and jumping on him. Duffy would often get frustrated but wouldn’t display too much correction he more or so looked “fed up”. Since we have started training and rotating them where Oona learns to decompress away from Duffy she will often now go in another room to nap and leave him alone. 👏🏼
