Happy New Year and Happy Birthday to the “Out of This World Litter.” This morning we welcomed 11 healthy pups, 6 boys and 5 girls. Blue has been the most natural and caring mother we’ve had in our program and made having such a large litter look easy. These pups are going to be stunning with fantastic temperament. One aspect of being a responsible breeder is knowing when to deny applications centering the wrong motivations for getting a puppy, like the one attached. We work with individuals that are excited about our puppies, our process, and ask appropriate questions about longevity in the pedigree of any puppy.

Per the Golden Retriever Club of America, "It is never the color of a Golden Retriever that determines its temperament and working ability or its health and potential longevity. Instead the quality of a Golden Retriever will be determined by the care the individual breeder has taken, by adhering to the standard when breeding, as well as by doing careful pedigree research and screening for soundness in mind and body. It is our position that a breeding program which focuses mainly on color should be viewed with some skepticism."

The Football Litter had a great first vet exam! As a breeder the first vet exam is always super nerve-racking, but getting a good report and knowing the puppies you have raised are super healthy makes it all worth it ❤️
