We wanted to remind our residents of the recent heatwave that it is never a good idea to leave an animal in the car without the A/C running. Even on a 70° day, the temperature can rise to 104° within 30 minutes.

Our officers will always respond to calls of animals being left in cars and check on the animal’s well-being. If it is determined that the animal is being neglected, the owner can be charged with Cruelty to Animals.
