❤️🤍💙Happy 4th of July Everyone❤️🤍💙 Hope you and your animals have a relaxing, safe, and noise free (fireworks and thunderstorms!) day. We are at our getaway cabin trying to dodge the booms and pops. Although we all are missing my buddy, Panda alot we are staying busy taking walks(down and up a mountain!), playing nose work, helping Jennny with her CU instructor course (Lots of treats!), and making new friends. Hope you all get to spend some time with those you love today❤️Woody

Hi Everybody❤️Sorry I have been out of touch lately. I'm doing great! Check out my pics! I've had a lot of wildflowers and waterfalls hikes in the past few months along with a deep wound in my side(not even sure what happened but with my super healing powers it healed without sutures and just AB!) AND my buddy 🐼 having his spleen with an attached tumor removed( it is not cancer..hallelujah!!!🎉💞) Life is good (besides those dang thunderstorms ruining the party) and look forward to seeing you out in the woods sometime soon! ❤️ Woody (the medical phenomenon)

Hi All❤️Longtime no post! I am a busy man! Just wanted to say hi and tell you a little about what I have been up to. Just had a great time in Wilmington exploring the beaches and parks in the area. The house had a great porch to do nose work so i enjoyed that everyday in the morning and evening!

I have had to hold back a little on my long hikes since I am have a bit of an issue with lower back. Luckily I am getting the best care at Waghab and they gave me exercises to do which means more treats (i have been put on a diet😳 to help my joints. I cant help it pred make me wild for food!) AND a daily massage! It's not so bad.i will miss our extra long hikes but Jenny was told I could do shorter hikes but more frequently so that is a win for the hound
I have been feeling good, just some lumps and bumps have appeared but have been cleared. Tomorrow I have an appointment with 4paws since Jenny thinks something going on with my nose... she says the texture is different on one side and the nostril flares out a bit more than the other. I say it's just better to sniff with! Please send positive vibes my way💞💞💞Will keep you posted. Hope everybody is doing well and getting yout steps in. ❤️ Woody

My resolutions are simple; stay healthy, spend more time outside, and add in more steps! Hi Everybody- Hope you had a good weekend! Jenny and I tried to hit the trail yesterday running into a few bumps in the road including a once public access area now being marked private and a trail no longer allowing dogs (I know complete insanity!) so we wandered a service road a bit before hitting Wildcat Rock....hoped we would get to see a cat, a wild one at that but no such luck😪Hope you all have a great start to the week! The vampires return today to take some of my blood so wish me luck! I'm feeling good and acting spunky so hopefully the results will be positive! ❤️ Woody

Hi Everybody! Lots has been happening since i last wrote including rainy days and continuing ED (So boring for dogs!) which has squashed trail time. Also had a slight scare with my lymphnodes getting big (going down by morning🎉) and an appearance of a new growth on my lip. The doc isn't sure what the growth is but so far it has not ulcerated or grown so she said that is a good sign🎉Just wanted to share a few pics. Our neighbor completed my mural and I have to say it truly resembles me😍 and a pic of my buddy Olive and I out in the woods on one of the lucky days we got to hit the trail. I have blloodwork coming up next week so please continue to send your positive vibes and love my way. That alone has gotten me so far on this journey. Have a great week friends! ❤️Woody

Beautiful early morning start on the parkway😍 Started off with with us slightly missing a fawn that ran in front of the car.....Jenny lost some of her tea on quick break stop but said it was well worth it! We went on a mystical hike in the fog...it looked like fairies and elves lived in the lush forest....wondering how a fabulous hound can find some real estate up there💞As the sun came out, the fog burned off giving us views in all directions! Hope you all had a magical Sunday too! Still staying strong and lesion free thanks to your positive thoughts and trail time ❤️Woody

Hi everybody💞Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! We sure did! We hit the trails Roan Mountain State Park this morning. Jenny said was pretty challenging with a bunch of downed trees for us to crawl over and under along some straight up inclines...but for this hound it ain't no thing. Better yet we hiked for 4 hours without seeing a human! Hope you all have a great week that includes some walks and tasty snacks! ❤️Woody

I'm an inspiration! I'm a muse! I'm famous!!! Our talented neighbor painted a fantastic mural of me surrounded by the beautiful WNC mountains😍😍😍 She painted it on her fence so now each time my family pull into the driveway, they see my handsome face❤️🐾❤️

Wonderful news everybody! My bloodwork came back looking good so there are more hikes in my future🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Since my lab results have held steady I don't have to be poked for 6-8weeks as long as I stay healthy and lesion free! I am stumping modern medicine and I love it❤️❤️❤️Thank you for all the positivity for the past few months💞

I feel so loved💞 One of my best buddies Michelle, woke up early just to walk in the woods with me so I could be safe at home for the afternoon thunderstorms. Hope you all have a friend just as special. Remember I am always available to be a good friend and wake up early to hike with you! Hi friends! Hope you all had a great weekend! I sure did! My favorite foster dog Kong stayed with us for a few days when his new peeps went out of town. We sit on the porch together keeping an eye out for roaming felines. It's nice to have a buddy who shares similar interests!
Then on Sunday I got to go to the woods with my favorite kiddo in the whole world! My big smile is due to her wonderful company (and a few bites of homemade chicken jerky from her hands)😍😍😍 Still staying strong and healthy. Hope you are too! ❤️ Woody

It's been a busy week in the woods! My buddy Panda has been out of commission with pain in his neck and back so I've had to step in and accompany Dino and Olive on the trails. I hate to say it, but I hope it takes him time to recover, i am having a blast! I❤️🐼 Hope everyone is having a good start to their week!❤️Woody

Public service announcement: Be careful when fluffing and rolling on plush comforter....the stuffing may spill out (after you rip the fabric) and wrap around your neck. Stay safe out there everybody especially around that bedding! ❤️Woody

Happy 4th of July weekend everybody!!!! Hope you all are having a quiet and restful holiday💞 I am enjoying myself at a peaceful mountain cabin. Each year we head to the mountainside to try and avoid all the booms and pops. For some reason our neighborhood likes to blow things up🤪 So far we haven't heard any fireworks ...but some how the thunderstorms always seen find us🙃 Hope you and all your animals stay safe this holiday❤️ Woody

Great news, friends! My liver values have improved and my kidneys are staying strong🎉🎉🎉🎉Thanks to Dr. Martichelli and her wonderful tech Kelly for making it easy on me by coming to the house for blood draws💞 And shout out to Dr. Reynolds for recommending Chinese herbs to keep me strong and healthy..I think they are working!💞 Now it's time to celebrate with some freshly cooked venison! Hoppe everyone has a fantastic day! I know I will! ❤️Woody

Hi friends❤️ Hope you all are having a good Sunday! Took a hike with my pal Panda today. Dino stayed home because he is still recovering from a dental over a week ago. Whatta wuss....I could have cancer, get a dental including extractions and be hiking on a trail the next day...well that's the life of a hound dog for ya🐾.
Anyways, back to my amazing day..we had a blast! We started out in the rain. I have protip to share with all of you with dogs who pull on leash.....walk them in the rain! I was walking with the loose leash for an hour and then the drops stopped and so did the nice slack leash🤣
I got quite a few miles in today because tomorrow the vet stops by to check my liver and kidney values. Please send positive thoughts my way. Your well wishes are keeping me healthy and strong ❤️ Woody

We got in another nice hike at Big Ivy today that was shady and kept us close to the water....throw in some chicken jerky and my Sunday is perfect. Hope you all had a good weekend in the woods and got to eat some snacks too! ❤️Woody

Happy Sunday-Funday everyone🌿🐾🌞😍!!! We headed out early to Big Ivy this morning as it is gonna be a hot one and this pred makes me even warmer! Luckily there were many spots for us to take a dip!
Good news to report🎉My bloodwork shows a slight improvement in my liver values and my kidneys are functioning at a decent level. We are gonna stay the course for now on the low level pred but add back in those Chinese herbs to keep me staying strong. So far no new lesions and my activity level is still as strong as a hound dog's should be! So happy won't need to see a vampire (needle and syringe) for 3 more weeks!

Hi friends💞I'm feeling good. My urine test looked pretty good this week. On Tuesday, Dr. Beth from 4pawsfarwell is stopping by to pull some blood and such so I'll keep you posted on results Just wanted to share pics from my Sunday adventure on the AT with my buddies!
