The Merri Dog Retreat has been very busy! Thank you everyone for your support. 🥰 Just to let you know, I am also pretty well booked until Christmas. I am suddenly available in the last week of October, and for Christmas, but not New Year's. A few are thinking about next year already, so if you're planning any away dates and want to share your dog with me, let me know as soon as you can! 😊

Shout out to the other Jack Russell in my life! Most visitors spend a few days at my house, but one of the exceptions is Barty, who only occasionally walks with me around the neighbourhood. Beautiful Barty has persevered through who-knows-what to become one of the toughest and sweetest boss ladies around. I am privileged to be her friend. 🐾

Meet 'Dog Zero.' It's impossible to summarise the special relationship that I have with this pup. Georgie was the first doggo to stay at The Merri Dog Retreat last year, and she stayed for 4 weeks that time. We've had so much fun, at a local festival, the drive-in theatre, doggie playdates, being a library dog, and wedging her face into my Skype camera. She experienced many of her 'firsts' here, like finding herself in the mirror and crunching on frosty grass. She's got a loud voice and a sweet soul. 🥰❤ I have about 3.5 million photos of her, but here are four.

I got to play with Maggie a couple of weeks ago while her parents were away. She would surely wish everyone to have a lovely autumn season and remind us to get out to play in the leaves before they are gone! 🍁🍂🥰

"Thank you for looking after Poppy and Snow while I was away! Lots of regular photo and whatsapp updates on what they were up to, which was so reassuring.
They were very excited to see Alison again when she came to drop off my keys and a surprise certificate 😄 (super cute and they were very proud of themselves), and wanted to follow Alison home! I am happy to recommend to friends and will be booking again when I need 🥰"

The Merri Dog Retreat offers a personal dog-minding service on an as-needed basis as a trusted friend and neighbour. Many post-pandemic pets need a little extra attention (as do some of us as well). So only one dog (or family) is accommodated at a time. Guests get to stay and play near 3 creeks, a park reserve, small lake and a fenced dog park at the edge of Melbourne's inner north. We have lots of fun!
