can’t be taught to be is untrue.

This is one of the many adventures we often go to.

It is not difficult to achieve this, in fact, it is very simple. Just two main things that you need for this:

1. The right energy. Us dogs will not follow anyone who is anxious or fearful. We can feel how you feel and your energy tells us if we should trust you or not. If you are anxious, we won’t trust you period and if we don’t trust you, we won’t follow you. You gotta work on you if you want us to follow you.

2. Consistency. This is where discipline comes in. Having a routine and rules that are consistently followed creates a pack relationship between humans and dogs. Dogs will stick around with their pack.

This is not obedience, this is a relationship built with humans that respect us as dogs by consistently meeting our needs as dogs.

This does not mean our humans are not ever silly, it just means that silly is not the constant.

Ultimately, . You lead, the dog follows.

Our little brother Jackie Chan got a flat tire while we were riding in it, the girl human immediately took him to the dealership to get that tire repaired and brought us along.

So far, I’ve suckered our friend Nick into giving me a ball and we both suckered the people at to give us a couple of treats.

It’s been a great Friday so far. We will definitely be back as we have loved the service provided here. should give them an award.

In this video, the human explains how she uses our language to help calm Monster down. Humans think that our agitation (anxiety) is calmed by petting us, talking to us, and hugging us when we are showing it; the truth is that all of that makes the agitation worse not better. We know that humans mean well, that's why our human wanted to share her experience helping Monster learn to chill for the first time in a public place.

Cheri knows what she is talking about. Respecting us dogs as dogs is how you get a dog that behaves well, does not have anxiety or any neuroses. Most of dogs’ bad behaviors are created by humans treating them like humans instead of dogs.

Another foster arrived at our house yesterday, his fur was all matted so the humans have been brushing him since he got here.

For all out there, when our fur gets matted, it makes it painful for us to move. Please always regularly brush your doubke coated dogs. We cannot be shaved as that ruins our coats and poses other health risks, but we do need to be brushed on a regular basis, especially for those who have a longer or ”wolly” coat.

I know that humans consider us family and in considering us family they can forget that we are still dogs and we have to be fulfilled as dogs, not as humans.

When humans work on fulfilling us as dogs we respect them for it and it becomes easier for us to follow and listen to what they are asking us to do.
