This is why it’s important to microchip!

Home at Last! The German Shepherd found in is home safe and sound! Good samaritan Debby found "Winnie" running on I90 and took her to Elgin Police Department since they don't live in the area. She went to Golf Rose Pet Lodge for her stray hold, and microchip hunters reached out to the vet that implanted the microchip who contacted the breeder that had her microchipped. Microchip Hunters sent the breeder photos, and she was able to find the owner information by date and description of her, and confirm with the owner that she still owned Winnie. She gave her the details of where she was being held. Winnie was picked up this afternoon. Found 6/20/21; Reunited 6/21/21 Welcome home Winnie.

Thank you to all that helped get her home! Big thanks to Debby for helping Winnie stay safe!

From her owner: "Thank you so much for taking her to the shelter. She is mine and we will be picking her up today!"
