✨ New Book Release: Luna’s Starry Sleigh Ride ✨

When I began writing this story, I wanted to reimagine holiday magic without harm. Instead of reindeer bound by reins and whips, Luna’s sleigh soars on mystical wings — powered by wonder, love, and imagination.

To bring that vision to life, I collaborated with a gouache artist who blended traditional and digital techniques to create soft, timeless illustrations that glow with warmth and compassion.

This gentle, cruelty-free tale reminds us that magic should never come at the expense of animals. 🌟

Headed to Oakland for Gracie's home-check! 💜🐶 We're often asked why we travel so far when local adoptions might be "easier" or less costly. The truth is, we never settle for convenience. If the perfect home is farther away, we go the distance — because our animals deserve nothing less than a forever family who will love them for life and provide them with the very best veterinary care. 🙌

Greetings, Fuzzy Family!

Exciting news — my fifth children’s book, Gus the Silent Ghost, is officially published! 🎃👻 This heartwarming Halloween story follows a little ghost who can’t say “boo” but discovers his gift for storytelling instead. I’m so grateful to my illustrator for bringing my vision of Gus to life — his sweet, translucent glow turned out absolutely perfect.

🐱 Meet Toona!
Gentle eyes. Velvet paws. A quiet heart looking for home.

Toona is a stunning 6-year-old Siamese boy with deep blue eyes that hold both the weight of his past and the hope of something better. Surrendered to TFPF due to financial hardship, he has been a dream in foster care—sweet, calm, and quietly affectionate.

He loves soft cheek rubs, cozy cuddles, and diving into cardboard boxes with kitten-like joy. Well-mannered and independent, he’s the perfect mix of serenity and play.

Toona has lived peacefully with small, gentle dogs and would likely do well with calm, respectful pets. He’s healthy, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and litterbox-trained.

This special boy deserves a peaceful, loving home—and someone who sees the rare treasure he truly is.

🐶 Meet Pita
Sweet and gentle. Squeaky-ball obsessed. Loyal to the last sniff.

Pita is a charming 6-year-old American Spaniel with a warm, pita-bread-colored coat and a heart full of affection and curiosity. After his beloved owner passed away in a tragic motorcycle accident, The Fuzzy Pet Foundation (TFPF) stepped in to help his grieving family find him the future he deserves.

Pita loves people, lights up around other dogs, and even does well with cats. He enjoys leisurely walks, squeaky toys, and curling up next to someone he trusts. He’s potty-trained, knows his basic commands, and is a perfect 30 pounds of snuggly, well-mannered joy.

We’re looking for a stable, loving home that will treat Pita like family for life. He’s healthy, neutered, microchipped, and ready to fill someone’s world with warmth, laughter, and love.

This is the tragic reality of outdoor cats.

Emaciated. Mange-ridden. Scavenging for scraps to survive. Exposed to coyotes, traffic, heat, rain, and the elements.

This isn’t freedom. It’s suffering.

Cats like this endure starvation, disease, parasites, trauma—and prolonged, invisible suffering. Many die alone, unseen and untreated.

Feeding is not enough.
“Just fixing them and putting them back” is not rescue—it’s a sentence.

Shelters and the public must do better. We need:

✔️ More intake and rehab resources for truly homeless cats
✔️ Foster homes willing to take in strays
✔️ Financial support for rescue groups doing the work
✔️ Pressure on local governments to stop using outdoor cats as an excuse to avoid responsibility

Bring them in. Heal them. Give them a life worth living.

Rescue means removing them from danger—not returning them to it.

With the generous support of our corporate and individual donors, The Fuzzy Pet Foundation (TFPF) recently donated over $10,000 worth of our children’s books to schools across Los Angeles County. The students enjoyed our books so much that one of the schools invited us back to speak at their College and Career Day—where I had the chance to share not only TFPF’s mission, but also my personal journey through college, graduate school, and my work as an attorney, author, and animal advocate dedicated to spreading empathy and helping animals in need.

UPDATE: SamSam has been adopted! 🎉

SamSam is a charming one-year-old Maltese mix with a heart full of love and resilience. Rescued by The Fuzzy Pet Foundation (TFPF) from a severe hoarding situation, his early life was marked by neglect—many nights, he went to bed hungry and endured scorching heat without shelter. Despite his difficult past, SamSam’s spirit remains unbroken, and he is now ready to find the forever home he deserves.

SamSam adores human affection and loves being held. He bonds quickly with his people, thriving on love and attention. Playful and full of energy, he enjoys his toys, excels on leash walks, and is an intelligent little pup who will alert you when strangers are near. In the home, he is calm, incredibly loyal, and happiest when following his loved ones from room to room.

Weighing around 15 pounds, SamSam has a wonderful personality and an adventurous spirit. He gets along well with other cats and dogs. To ensure his comfort, we are seeking a home without young, rambunctious children who might startle or overwhelm him. We prefer adopters with a strong history of excellent veterinary and grooming care for their pets.

SamSam is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and in excellent health. He has transformed from a neglected pup into a joyful, affectionate companion who is eager to bring happiness to a loving family.

TFPF and our adopters will move mountains for our precious animals. 💛🐾

In 2018, TFPF rescued Chewie, a Yorkie, from a backyard breeder who surrendered her, calling her “sickly” and “un-sellable.” Soon after, we discovered she had a serious liver condition that required complex liver shunt surgery—expertly performed by specialists at the UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital.

Today, years later, Chewie is happy, healthy, and thriving in her forever home. She even has a new sister—Chingoo, a sweet Pug mix whose name means “friend” in Korean—also adopted from TFPF just last year.

UPDATE: Meringue (now Kuro-chan!) has been adopted! 🎉

Meringue, a breathtakingly beautiful 5-6-month-old flame-point kitten with mesmerizing blue eyes and a luxuriously fluffy coat. Behind his stunning appearance is a story of survival and resilience.

Meringue and his siblings were found near a fast-food dumpster after a cruel act took the lives of two littermates. A young homeless man had thrown them against a wall, leaving Meringue and two others barely clinging to life. The Fuzzy Pet Foundation (TFPF) rescued them, giving them a second chance at happiness.

Once a fragile kitten with a painful eye injury, Meringue has blossomed into a confident, affectionate, and joyful little soul. He adores people, enjoys curling up in laps, and thrives with feline companions. While he hasn’t been around dogs, his calm nature suggests he’d do well with a cat-friendly pup.

Meringue will need regular brushing to keep his coat looking its best, and he’d do best in a gentle, loving home without rambunctious young children. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative.
