Sunshine & Fluff is an ARBA registered rabbitry working on improving our breeding and showing lines of Mini Rex and Polish.

We are also currently working on a Plush Lop project. Litters will be posted as I have them. Pet quality will be able to go to new homes at 8-10 weeks old. Show/breeding litters will be with us longer as we will be working with them to see which ones we will be keeping for showing/breeding.

Hi All! I know I haven't been very active on my page in a long while. I have been adjusting to having moved a year ago and commuting over an hour for work now. I have limited time to focus on my rabbits. That being said, I have decided to refine my rabbitry. I will still be focusing on Mini Rex and Polish but will not be doing any breedings until I have my rabbitry set up to where it is efficient.

I am also contemplating a new name for my rabbitry. When I started Sunshine & Fluff Rabbitry, it was my daughter and I. She has grown away from the rabbits and therefore I will be sole owner going forward. I feel that a new name (to be revealed after it is registered with the ARBA), will reflect my new beginnings.

I will not be going to many shows this year as I process and rebuild my rabbitry. I am hoping to be in a place mentally where I can plan a few breedings for the upcoming Fall season.

I apologize to anyone who may have been waiting for me to have some live litters. Life happens and I did not feel that I would be acting responsibly because I did not have the time to donate to newborn litters and their growth.

I will still be focusing on Mini Rex and Polish as these breeds have a special place in my heart and I really enjoy raising them.

For my Mini Rex I will be concentrating on Otters (especially black otter) and Reds. I purchased a red doe from a friend who is absolutely gorgeous and I am hoping to show her a few times as a senior before retiring her to be a brood doe.

For my Polish I will be concentrating on my chocolates and possibly lilacs. I have some blacks that I will be keeping in my breeding stock as they should carry dilute and they have really nice type. These are all colors I currently own which will make it easier to continue with these colors.

I have decided not to continue with my Mini Plush Lop project and instead concentrate on my Polish and Mini Rex show lines.

The tri doe in the middle is a partially pedigreed F3 Mini Plush Lop and proven brood doe. Her first litter she had 6. At first they all thrived except 1. I decided to try and help the little one with taking just it and mom out for extra feedings. After about a week I was able to stop those extra feedings because he had caught up. Hester never fought me or tried to get away from her kit when I would flip her and help the kit latch on. She knows her job and does it extremely well!

Hester has a very sweet disposition. Her crown is a little tight but paired with the right buck I feel she could be a big asset to any program!

My little black junior doe got BOB in Show B and her brother, a little black junior buck got BOSB at the Essex County Rabbit & Cavie show at the Topsfield Fairgrounds Midnight Madness Show! Thankfully it started at 4pm and we were leaving by 10pm so I got home a little after midnight! My other rabbits did well too and pretty much placed where I expected them to.

It was great seeing all my rabbit friends. Now to continue working on the house until the next show!

Brownie & Blackie are looking for a new home. They are around 2 years old, both intact males who have been together since about 6 weeks old. Their Mom loves them very much but finds it difficult to keep up with their needs.

All 3 cages pictured will go with them plus any other rabbit related items. She prefers that they stay together.

If interested send me a message and I will connect you with the owner. I am doing this just to help out, I am not making any money on this.

My 2 five week old black otter mini rex kits! As of now I believe one is a doe and one is a buck! So far the buck looks the most promising but they are still young yet.

Some of our three week old black Polish kits with their Lilac Mom, Seascape's Woops! They are so very precious and cute! So far it looks like the ears are more forward on their heads which is one of the recurring comments my Polish receive from judges! Ears need to be more forward.

Selective breeding for stronger, healthier show rabbits is our goal!

I get more excited every day watching this litter of F4 Mini Plush Lops grow!!! Mom is a very nicely marked black/orange tri and dad is a black/orange harlequin, heavy on the black. Their grandsire is a broken black magpie and granddam is a blue. Very, very happy with the variety in this litter!

Not the best pictures because they are so bouncy! My first litter of F4 Mini Plush lops born 6/5/23! Looks like we have 3 tris and 3 Harley! There is one heavily marked Harley that I think is going to look just like its sire! Mom is a tri and this is her first litter.

I am so very happy with the results and the comments I received on each rabbit. I brought 4 rabbits, 2 Mini Rex (my white buck Hot Shot's Donkey Kong was DQ'd in Shows A & B due to weight but made weight for the Specialty Show). Waiting on results of the specialty show and then I will post those also!

Thumbelina has 2 kits to look after and she is doing a great job as a first time Mom! She has a self black ( not pictured) and this beautiful broken black otter! I love the patterning on this kit, it is so pretty!

Woops gave us 4 self black kits! I love how tiny the Polish rabbits are. For such small animals they are feisty! At 4 days old they already have gorgeous fur. A few more days and their eyes should be open!

I love this stage when the kits start coming out of the nesting box and start eating hay like Mama! These 4 nuggets are just over 2 weeks old! Cami has 2 black otter and 2 self blacks. She is an amazing brood doe. I love how she holds her condition through pregnancy, birth and beyond!

We have 4 new black (I believe, they were just born so only peeked briefly) Polish in the barn this am who will all carry dilute!!! Mom is lilac and Dad is black! More pics coming later!

Woops is actively nesting!!!! Praying today is the day! Last time she gave me 4 beautiful Lilac kits bred to another Lilac. This time she was bred to a black! Looking forward to seeing what they produce!

Woke up this morning to find that Minnow Lake's Camden, bred to Hilltop's Hoosier Daddy, kindled 5. 1 was doa 😪but 4 are alive and healthy! Looks like we may have 2 otter and 2 self! Looking forward to seeing these nuggets grow and develop! This will be Cami's last litter as she is getting older (4years old) and this is the smallest litter she has ever had and her first doa since I have had her. Cami is a beautiful REW who has been an amazing Mom! In 8 weeks she can retire and live a life of leisure!

We went to a show on 3/26/23 and my ruby eyed white buck, Hot Shot's Donkey Kong, received his first leg towards his GC certificate!

Very happy with today's show winnings at the Catskill Region RCBA (Show April 8th, 2023)! My rabbits did well and the show was very organized and ran smoothly. Fastest triple show I've ever been too!

Violet goes to her new home!

Little Violet (Cookie & Frosty's kit) went to her new home today! She seems to be enjoying her new pen for outside time! I love when my babies go to good, caring homes! Her new Mom chose this pen so she had room to run and play but also is protected from the hawks that fly overhead! 💜💜💜💜💜

This group of babies was having so much fun running around yesterday. It brings me so much joy to watch them. I will be sad when they find their new homes but I will also be happy!

This little guy had so much fun outside today! I so enjoyed sitting with him while he jumped over my legs, ran around and ate grass! I am happy to report that as of today he has been reserved!
