Latest rescue: Aguadilla Husky Mix Litter. George, Georgia, Guava and Gardenia.
Apparently someone noticed the puppies were left on a box somewhere in Aguadilla and brought them to a Police Station. In the meantime, one died. Nothing like having the love, warm and milk from their momma. Today they were brought to us. Visited the vet clinic, they were dehydrated, starving and one is very fragile. V fluids with Vit - B12 were supplied to the puppies. They are positive to hookworms and have diarrhea. We need your help with donations and supplies from our Amazon wishlist.

Sophia: She was rescued in Villalba, got adopted and later surrendered to us on July 5th. She is 2.5 months approximately, one dhlpp and fully dewormed. Will get her second booster soon with bordetella.

On May 31st, an amazing volunteer drove from Moca to Villalba and later to Cupey to bring these rescued family to our veterinary clinic. We are more than grateful to Clarissa. Our intention was to rescue Peppermint, but at the time of the rescue, also her sibling Peroni with her five pups were there, living in the dirt without no intentions to spay the moms. So we ended up with seven unplanned rescues. Peppermint have been already spayed in emergency, fully vaccinated and dewormed and had a negative 4dx. The five pups: Cilantro, Mint, Clarity, Ceylon & Cider are doing awesome, already got two dhlpp and bordetella, full dewormed. Peroni is fully vaccinated with a negative 4dx, waiting to be spayed. Artemis, a Sato alumni living her best in NJ.
This is Dakota, latest rescue. She was found alone on a rainy day next to a road in Lago Guajataka, Camuy side. She is in good condition. Already got her first virus vaccine and has been dewormed. Dakota likes kids and is extremely affectionate.
These three siblings were rescued in Aguas Buenas. Her mother was abandoned pregnant in a neighborhood, gave birth to these precious Sato girls. Now mom has been sterilized and adopted in Puerto Rico. Eva Lee, Ellen and Emilia are looking for adopters or volunteers traveling to JFK, PHL, OMA, OAK or SFO.

We made it to the end of 2023. Thanks to our followers, donors, rescue partners, flights chaperone and the veterinarians and their staff for their support. Sato Care Alliance will keep up the good work, strict veterinarian protocol, good paperwork to give to our partners and cleaned puppies to be transport. We are very grateful for the support. Sato Care is a small rescue with an enormous heart and commitment to the satos of the Island. We will continue our two programs: rescue with foster and monthly spay event. We are proud of what we have become and accomplished. Sato Care Alliance will go for more in 2024.
What love and care can do… a lot. Your donations go towards this huge effort and results. Now, Shadow is in New York starting a new life. Thanks to the Good Samaritan who rescued her in Ponce, to all the followers that donated to her treatment, to us for keeping the good work, the Sato Chaperone who escorted her to NY and our rescue partner who received her. Shadow, be happy.
Last rescue of 2023 flying in the hands of @josmarie one of SCA volunteer and foster family. We are already missing gorgeous Shadow, she is an espectacular pup. She has come a long way and now it is time to say goodbye and wish her the best life in NY.
Last Sunday we visited gorgeous Patch now Spot. He is doing amazing in his forever home, very spoiled and happy. He walks a mile every morning and play with neighbor dogs. We brought some Christmas presents 🎁. We love you Patch.
