Meet Hazel
Hazel is a 10-12 week old puppy from Labrador. She has been fostered in a completely separate home from the puppies who contacted Parvo and has completed her quarantine as a precaution. Hazel has been growing and learning steadily and is now ready for her forever home. She has been out exploring the world with her fosters over the past few days. Hazel is popular wherever she goes and draws people over for belly rubs and attention. She has her first vaccination, has been dewormed and flea and lice treated. Hazel will require an active family in order to meet her high energy needs. We feel that she is part herding dog as she is herding the cats in her foster home!
From her foster mom:
Hazel is a sweet little girl! She loves sleeping in bed with you as close as she can get to you. So far she knows how to sit and lie down. She’s in her nippy puppy stage right now but can be redirected to toys easily. She will chase cats but if you tell her no she listens well and will leave them alone. Hazel is a very busy puppy and will need someone who has lots of energy (hopefully more than her) to tire her out physically and mentally. She could do very well with some training or even dog sports since she is very eager to learn, especially if treats are involved. She does have a tendency to try to herd other animals and humans, she’s even tried to chase a rabbit on one of our walks. She LOVES car rides and walks. Hazel would be the perfect buddy for someone who is active and social and wants a shadow to follow along with them.

Rembering the four puppies we lost to Parvo.
Snoopy, Woody, Oscar and Finn. Beautiful, happy, amazing puppies. They fought hard but were just not strong enough to beat this merciless disease.
We are a small foster based rescue who are facing being closed for intake until we are able to pay off our vet bills. We are devastated, heartbroken and depressed after losing all four of these innocent puppies but we also want to continue rescuing these sweet souls.
Our spirits are lifted with the amazing support we have received so far from our dedicated followers who have donated an incredible $2,737.00 towards our emergency veterinary bills totalling $4,020.69. That leaves $1,283.69 left for us to raise to cover the unexpected bills for the rescue puppies from Labrador. We cannot continue without your support.

Hi everyone, it’s me Taz (aka Razmataz). It’s International Homeless Animals Day. I don’t have a home yet but I know I’m safe cause Paw2Love rescued me! I’m in a foster home patiently waiting for my family to find me but I can’t stop thinking about all the homeless small dogs like me that haven’t been rescued yet.

We are facing a crisis in Newfoundland. A couple weeks ago we rescued 8 puppies from Natuashish. Unknown to anyone, these puppies were exposed to Parvo. We now have a Parvo outbreak with 2 of our foster homes in quarantine. Four puppies have already died. Oscar has seen his last sunset as his little 6 week old body tries to fight. His little body is throwing up phlegm, burning up with fever, only able to eat syringe fed food. We are beyond devastated, distraught and heartbroken over losing 4 beautiful innocent puppies who will never get to see a better life. We are clinging to hope that we don’t lose more.
Our vet bills are astronomical for a small rescue. We have no choice but to close for intake until we can pay off our vet bills.
Bills from the after hours emergency clinic and VSC total almost $3,400.00
Plus another $5,000 owing to Baccalieu Trail Animal Hospital

UPDATE: we are completely devastated and heartbroken to advise that our wee Oscar lost his battle with Parvo at 4:45 am this morning. I held him tightly in my arms and told him how much we love him. Told him about the rainbow bridge and how wonderful and beautiful it is there. Told him that he will know freedom and that one day I will see him there. I explained that my Ollie had come to take him to the bridge and show him around and look after him until it’s my turn to come. I told him that his brother Finn was waiting for him. I kissed his tiny head as he slowly slipped away, craddled in my arms. 💔🌈🙏🐾

This is Coco who was rescued from Texas in January. She is a 6-year-old, 6-7 lb princess.
If you are looking for a cuddle bug, she is your girl. She loves all people and loves her person even more.
She will follow you everywhere you go. She is the perfect little purse chi and loves to go shopping and everywhere you go while in her carrier.
If you think you are going to bed without her, look out. She will be under the covers before you!
She loves getting dressed up, especially her sweaters in cooler weather. She is house trained and walks well on a leash. She is very well behaved in the car and loves to ride shotgun in her cozy bed. She is very food motivated, but may get a little too excited for treats, but is doimg much better than when she first arrived.
Unfortunately, she does not like other dogs and is very reactive when other dogs tries to come near her or her person. The best home that she could have would be an only dog home.
Older children or child free.
If you are looking for a tiny shopping, sleeping, and cuddle buddy, then Coco would be awesome for you

Meet delightful DAGWOOD. He is 2-3 yrs old and 30-35 lbs but can still gain some more weight to be his optimum size. He is a lab/australian shepherd mix. Neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.

Hi, it’s me Dagwood. My human friends call me Dag. I’m so ready for my forever family to find me. I love being outside exploring my foster family’s backyard and hanging out with them but am ready for a family of my own!
I was rescued from a life of living in a small isolated outdoor pen. I love living in a house and snuggling in bed….hehehe. I’m told that I’m almost housetrained and no where near as nervous as I was.
I’m a fun loving, mischievous kind of guy when I get to know you. I still look to my people for guidance and confidence but am learning every day.

He came from a home with an elderly lady that passed away.
