MY STORY : ๐ถ๐พ
My name is Ashley and this is my dog Ginger. Ginger passed away April 2020.
Ever since she was a puppy, ginger LOVED her cookies and treats. She would freak out for them everytime and of course we would give in and give her some. But when Ginger turned 9 years old, she was diagnosed with diabetes . We had to give her insulin Injections twice a day and had to watch every single thing she ate.
For those of you who don't know, diabetes affects the way food is broken down in the body. Most of the food we eat is broken down into sugar and then released into the bloodstream. When your blood sugar goes up, the pancreas releases insulin which is what let's blood sugar into your bodys cells for energy. Well with diabetes, your body isn't making the necessary insulin. No the treats weren't what caused her diabetes but it didn't help either.
When ginger was still with us, I always wanted to make her some yummy treats that she could eat and love which wouldn't affect her diabetes or health. But due to my busy life and my lack of knowledge back then, I wasn't able to give her that before she passed away.
Now I want to help pets like Ginger and be able to give pets and their pet parents the options of giving their furry friends delicious treats without having to worry or question about what is inside the treats that could be harmful for our pets and their health.
