Guys, please donate and share my fundraiser. It has been crazy paying for a rental vehicle for 9 months now. I want to keep helping the dogs. But realistically, I can’t afford to keep paying for a rental. This week, I’m in a Jeep Wagoneer. And I brought 8 dogs to the Chicago/Cincinnati area. I’m doing what I can. I just know that without a vehicle, I will have to stop transporting dogs.

Y’all remember Blanket???? I just spoke to her adopters. Her new name is Sadie. They said she is doing great. She was 40 pounds in January and now she is 72 pounds and she grew an inch and a half taller. She loves her people and all of their children and grandchildren. I’m so happy they’re so in love with her.

Here are some of them many freedom rides we have done of the last two years. Can you believe that since I started transporting pets from the shelter, I have transported almost 2000 of them. Not just from Memphis, but I have gotten animals from Arkansas shelters, the Dallas shelter, one in the Huntsville, AL area. I love doing what I do.

So, my whirlwind of a transport to FL and then up to NC and back into TN from the weekend didn’t end there. I picked up a dog in Vonore, TN and a dog in a Spring Hill, TN. The one went to Bartlett, TN and the other went to Jonesboro, AR. That’s 6 dogs that rode with us and got to experience . And got to go to their forever homes yesterday... So, from Thursday at noon in Memphis to Tuesday in Jonesboro, AR… 3300 miles. That’s a long trip for 2 girls. My daughter drove the last dog to Jonesboro.

I’m looking for donations for toys and collars for these dogs. I try to send each dog with a toy and a collar and my supply has been low lately.

Whew! What a whirlwind trip this has been. From Memphis to Altamonte Springs, FL to Lawrenceburg, TN to Maryville, TN to Knoxville, TN to Leland, NC all while there’s a hurricane a brewing in the gulf. We stayed a couple nights in Daytona Beach and left yesterday morning. Today, there is 230k people without power down there. Rains and thunderstorms are coming to NC… so we’re trying to get out of dodge before we get caught up in it. AGAIN. But anyway, Frankenweenie AKA Frankie, I know you thought I was your mommma since you stayed with me a week and a half. But those girls that you met on Friday, are super sweet and you will have a good life!!!! Thanks RescueVet Memphis for saving him. Those two little male chiweenies are approximately 11-12 weeks old. And they’re going to a foster. I’m sure they’ll be available for adoption soon through For the love of Woofers. And Blue is adopted!!!! Her new mom has 10 acres of land and I know she will love it there. Thanks Linda for saving this sweet girl.

Calling all my rescue peeps! I need some help. I’m desperately looking for 2 more dogs to add to my transport from Memphis, TN down to FL or east to Nashville or Chattanooga even Knoxville. I had it all worked out and I had 4 that were pretty sure were going with me, but now they aren’t going. I have a dog in my care that I have to take to Altemonte Springs, FL. I’m leaving when I get off work at noonish on Thursday and depending on destination, it could be later on Thursday or even Friday. Please let me know if you have anyone needing to go. I can’t afford to make the trip with just one dog.

I get asked a lot “am I supposed to tip you?”. The answer is no, you do not have to tip me. But to those that feel led to do so, thank you. On Monday, the adopter in Chicago gave me a bag of snacks for the road. And Saturday, this lady gave Dave (my transport partner for commercial transport this weekend) and I a little gift bag. It had a gift card for their local convenience store chain and an all natural soap and holder bag. Such a thoughtful little gift. I just want to say thank you for the people who have either tipped me or given me a gift in the past 2 years of me transporting, thank you.

Thankfully my rescue has my back 100%. We are headed to his new adopter down in Florida. The money collected before was used to pay for boarding. Today was a hard day. As I pulled up to get all the dogs I was picking up from the Walker County Animal Shelter, I had so many feelings go through my body, mind, and soul. I am beyond tired today. Today’s trip was me picking these animals that were involved in the cruelty case of Patty and Jerry Bryant of Chicamauga, GA. They were being paid for board and train by several rescues and then 2 weeks ago these animals were all seized from their property. We’ve been lied to. We’ve all gone to a house in Chattanooga, that they claimed as theirs. We had no idea they lived in Georgia or that they had over 100 animals. I got the 14 I was going there to pick up. And poor little sweet Norbit, made me cry. Most of these dogs I have transported before. I broke him out of the hell hole of MAS. He was on death row. He went to a foster for a little while then onto Patty Jerry for training. Norbit is a special guy. He can only see shapes. But his ears are fine. A simple, come on Norbit. Get in the car with Aunt Amber, and you could see in his face he immediately remembered me. As my daughter went in to grab lunch, he literally got up here and hugged me. It’s amazing how these animals know when they’re loved and safe. He knew. And tears just flowed. He had a big sigh of relief when we were hugging. Norbit is special to me because my female Dane, appears to be like him. And can only see shapes. I’m not 100% sure on that.
