I was being filmed from behind and my little friend is coming closer, but still not close enough to catch and what was worse is that a chipmunk got under where he net was and decided to eat the DDs meal I set up for him haha. I attempted to get the chipmunk to move but then it spooked the Diamond Dove. Sheesh this is so crazy, but I will be returning again on Monday to try again.
3 hours last night after work and still so close, but not close enough. This little Diamond Dove is enjoying their flock time outdoors and perhaps it just isn’t meant for me to capture em. Anyway, I have not given up yet so continue to stay tuned. I am mostly concerned about them once it becomes really cold out during the Winter. Jasper is doing great! He has been flying from the top of the Conure’s cage to the floor and back and forth multiple times getting plenty of exercise. His wife Tesha has joined him down on the floor a couple times, but she seems to prefer being up on top of the Conure’s cage. The Living Room chickens Jillian and Ayyan are pissed off right now since they had to be placed and locked away in their coop and pen while the pidgies are out and about. Jasper has been eating the chicken crumble haha. I wanted to give them a few hours of free-time before having to put them back in the Therapy Cage.

My sweet pidgie Jasper who was in desperate need of a nail trim just relaxing and enjoying some pets after I was all done tending to his nails and feet. Trying to wrangle all my pidgies is a big task and not easy at all. I typically have to wait and do that at night and be as quick as possible. I recently noticed a few of my pidgies whose nails were a bit too long so I have been trying to get them taken care of one at a time each night before I get ready for bed. They have bricks throughout their room, but those don’t seem to work as well as I had hoped. I am gonna need to start scheduling them for quick Drexel trims or clips every so often. Perhaps this weekend will be a good time to start all of this.

Finally getting around to watching Cowspiracy on Netflix. Watching this sort of BS though really gets to me, especially near the end of this clip where the adults are talking about LOVING ANIMALS. For Fvck Sake NO, NO YOU DO NOT LOVE ANIMALS, you love to raise them, slaughter them, and then eat them. It is like raising a child. I am not sure how anyone in their right mind can actually live knowing that the piece of meat on their plate was from the very animal they took care of. If you wouldn’t kill and eat your cats and dogs, how in the hell can anyone raise these beautiful sentient beings and then just kill them and eat them as if they really meant absolutely nothing to them. Psychopaths really, that’s who can do it, individuals who are deranged.
