This is Rosie and this is how we found her. She was in a very sorry state and needed Veterinary Care!
When we found her she jumped straight into our car. We phoned the vets and let them know we was on our way to them with Rosie.
We arrived at the vets and Rosie wouldn’t get out - we think she was scared of being left again like her previous owners had done.
We got her scanned for a microchip. She had one, but with no details. The vet said she believed Rosie to have been part of a litter of puppies that had all got microchipped with the hope of them all going to different homes hence why it’s not registered, but instead Rosie was kept, used for more litters and eventually dumped.
They gave her a check over, they said she had a very bad skin infection, eye infection and was underweight. They said they were not licensed to keep her overnight and so she had to come home with me!
The next day, We rang multiple rescues, the dog warden, charities. But, with no luck and horrible call handlers, we decided the best option for Rosie was for her to stay with us!
We spoke to the police and vets and they confirmed that due to the state she was in when we found her, we can legally keep her!
Rosie has since seen a vet with the current funds raised and we have been training her to wee and poo outside, go up and down the stairs, do basic commands such as sit/paw and trying her on different foods to see what suits her best.
We are trying to raise as many donations as we can to fund the start of Rosie’s journey and what she needs. The vets haven’t supplied everything she needs for her skin infection and told us to buy certain shampoos/ear cleaning products etc.
All donations are really appreciated and regular updates will be posted on her to show everyone her progress!
You’ve got this, Rosie 🩷🐾
