✂️Grooming of the Week ✂️
🐱Most cats do not like to have their claws trimmed. Start clipping kittens' claws to get them used to the process. Some cats will happily sit on your lap or the table while you trim their claws, but many need some sort of restraint.
To keep the cat in your lap, use your forearms wrapped around the cat's neck and your butt to keep the cat in your lap.
🐱Several nail trimmers, including guillotine type, scissors, and standard nail clippers. The guillotine type or the nail clipper is the easiest to use on cats.
The scissor-type is used if the toenail is so long that it curls in a circle. Long claws can ingrow into the pads of the toe.
🐱Cats have retractable claws, so you need to gently squeeze your finger between your thumb and forefinger to expose the nail.
🐱Most cats have light-colored claws, which makes it easy to see the blood vessels and nerves that feed the nail, in the form of a pink stripe at the base of the claw, which is called a fast. You want to cut the foot about 2 millimeters from the tip.
🐱If you cut on life, the claw will bleed, and the cat will be in pain.
🐱Light-colored claws can be trimmed with one notch on each nail.
If the trimmer is positioned parallel to the nail (cutting from side to side), the pin is squashed and may split.
🐱The sharper the trimmer, the cleaner the cut. You can use a nail file to smooth out the end of the nail after trimming.
🐱Cats have a nail on the inside of each paw called a dewclaw. Be sure to trim them, as they don't wear out when the cat scratches and can grow in circles, growing into the paw.

Moving is always stressful for your pet. He loves his home, he is cozy and comfortable in it, and traveling is always accompanied by excitement.
⠀
Today, we'll share with you tips to help prepare your cat for the move.
⠀
⚫️ Introduce your cat to the carrier.
If your cat is traveling for the first time, take care of a comfortable carrier. Set it up in a place where your pet plays, fill it with his favorite toys and a soft towel. The goal is for the cat to perceive the carrier not as a prison, but as a personal sanctuary.
⠀
⚫️ At veterinary drugstores, buy a pheromone spray for cats designed to reduce stress and anxiety.
⠀
⚫️ To prevent the cat from running away while you take furniture out of the house, give it a safe place in the bathroom or bedroom. Put the toilet and food and water bowls there.
⠀
⚫️ If your cat is not housebroken and does not wear a collar with an ID tag, make sure she gets one before you move. Never assume that your cat is incapable of slipping away from you.
⠀
⚫️ Don't give your cat lots of food before the car ride. A light breakfast to soothe the stomach will be enough for the trip. Also, don't forget to bring a disposable toilet with you.
⠀
⚫️ If you're planning a long trip, pick a pet-friendly hotel in advance and check the room carefully before letting your pet outside - open windows or vents add to the hassle.
⠀
⚫️ Be patient with your cat. The cat may resent it for a while until it gets used to the ride, and then it will fall asleep.
⠀
⚫️ When moving into a new home, put your cat in a safe place while furniture and boxes are brought in. Start with a small room and gradually give the cat more freedom to explore.

✂️"Grooming of the Week:
Reminding you how to groom your cat from head to tail 😻
▪️Keeping your pet's eyes healthy is an important part of responsible pet ownership.
Clean your pet's eyes daily, here are a few tips on how to care for them
▪️Regular cleaning with a washcloth. Take a washcloth or sponge with warm (not hot!) water to gently clean the area around your pets eyes.
▪️Avoid soaps and shampoos. In most cases, soaps and shampoos should not be used to wash your pet's face and eyes.
▪️Do away with paper towels. Flimsy materials such as wipes and paper towels can tear while washing your pet's muzzle and get stuck in his or her coat. Use sturdy washcloths to avoid leaving clumps of paper behind.
▪️Watch out for excess hair. If your cat has long hair, trim excess hair around the eyes to prevent infection or irritation. Contact a professional groomer or veterinarian to trim the hair around your pet's eyes.
▪️To avoid eye infections and the accumulation of dirt in and around the eyes, you should clean your pet's bed. It should be clean and clear.

WHY DOES MY CAT SNORE AND DO I NEED TO CONSULT THE VETERINARIAN🧐
Why does my cat snore? Recently, this has been one of the most asked questions on various animal forums. However, cats snore? What can this be connected to, and is it normal behavior? All the answers you will find below!
🐾 Can Cat Snore?
Your cat may snore. During sleep, the pet's backsides relax and may vibrate. It is what causes snoring. Also, if an animal has a soft palate, then the likelihood that it will snore increases significantly. At first glance, it might seem like something normal. However, let's find out for sure.
🐾 Is It Normal for Cats to Snore?
If you notice that your cat is twitching, showing "running" legs, or twitching facial muscles, it means they are in rapid eye movement sleep. Cats also have a deeper non-REM sleep phase during which they relax completely. That's when you'll hear them snore more often.
🐾 When Is Cat Snoring not Normal?
• Loss of appetite or lethargy. It can mean that your cat is unhappy or has some concerns. It would be best if you took it to your vet for examination.
• If discharge from the eyes or nose is present, it can be a respiratory infection causing snoring as one of the symptoms.
• Sitting with the neck outstretched and shortness of breath are signs of difficulty breathing. And if you notice something like that, it can cause more serious health issues.
When you know the answer to the question: "why does my cat snore" you can think about some prevention measures.
Try to provide your cat with more time and place for some exercises. Walking is an important thing not only for dogs. If you're afraid to let a pet walk along, buy a leash.
Think about the food puzzle if your cat is a fast eater. It can also be a cool cat game.
