And when a month comes to the end and 1st of the next month comes close, I get so nervous...
I try to escape the phone calls, but I can't avoid them forever. ... I'm totally broke....
No amount is too small. Please donate a euro, 2 or 3 and share! Ask your friends and family to do the same 🙏🏾❤️

Thank you so much to everyone who donated towards the huge debts after Nevena’s heartbreaking post. We are extremely grateful to each and every one of you! ❤️
There’s still a long way to go so if you haven’t already donated please consider doing so, even with a small amount, each £/€/$ adds up and DOES make a difference!
Let’s pull together and help lift a little of the burden off Nevena’s shoulders and help ensure the dogs stay safe and fed. 🙏🐾❤️
THANK YOU
This is probably one of the hardest posts I’ve ever written.
We are now 15 months behind with the pension costs for the animals — and that’s without counting vet visits, supplements, and everything else needed for their proper care.
I hate asking — or better said, begging — for money. So I tried to make up what’s missing on my own.
First, I took a bank loan to cover one month. Then, I withdrew everything from my credit card. When I couldn’t return that, my husband took a loan too.
Now, there’s nothing left to take, and we’ve brought our family to the edge of financial disaster.
All this time, I’ve been working as much as I can:
💼 Full-time job during the day
💻 Four teaching platforms during the night
I barely sleep, and this morning I actually fell ill from exhaustion and stress.
🐾 Please, help me keep going.
Share my posts, and if you can, donate just 3€.
Every share and every euro truly makes a difference.
I’m so tired and heartbroken — I don’t know how much longer I can continue rescuing without your help. 💔
🙏 Thank you from the bottom of my heart for every bit of support.
You are the only reason these animals still have hope. ❤️

About me
Hi, I am Nevena Tomic Stojanovic, married and a mother of 2 young children. I have a full time job as a professor teaching English. Together with our small rescue dog Chloe and our black cat Max we live in Nis, the second largest city in Serbia.
In Nis you will find many dogs and cats leading their poor lives in the streets, and as animal rights is a near-to-unknown concept in my otherwise beautiful hometown, they are either kept on a short chain their whole life, and/or tortured, poisoned, abandoned and abused, and many get a one way ticket to the local pound where life is just as bad.
As a fervent dog and cat lover and lover of animals in general, I found it very hard to stand by and do nothing, so in 2006 I rescued my first dog. I had fed and cared for street animals earlier too, but this was the first serious rescue, when I found 3 newborn puppies crying by the river. I took them all, fed them human baby milk with the syringe every two and a half hours day and night. Unfortunately, two of them were too weak and soon died. One survived and stayed with me for another 8 years.
And that's where my serious rescue story started. Till today I have rescued so many animals from horrible circumstances, and most of them are now living the good life in many different countries like Belgium, the UK, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden etc.
I value keeping in contact with the adopters and follow the stories of my rescues.
At this moment I have many dogs available for adoption, and they will be shared on this page. For more information on a particular dog, please send me a pm through this page and I will gladly answer your questions. The information I provide will at all times be honest and realistic so that both sides, adopters and my rescues, can enjoy their lives together.
Adoption regulations to export dogs from Serbia are very stringent. They have to be vaccinated against parvo, corona and distemper viruses, they have to get rabies vaccines and have to have their titer tests done.
Most of my dogs are ready to travel, with others it may take a little longer. Every dog is spayed/neutered before travel, exceptions in rare cases where maybe the dog is too young for this procedure or any other valid reason.
Adoption Fee
Adopters pay travel cost from Serbia to the country where they live according to the transport organization fees.
Home Visit
A home visit or home check is part of the adoption procedure, and will take place before a dog can come to live with you. Someone from a befriended rescue organization will pay you a visit to see where the animal will live; this is done in order to avoid any inconveniences for both sides, the adopter’s and the rescuer’s.
