✨️ Carolyn has been a veterinary technician for…a while. She has been working in veterinary Emergency & Critical Care for over 25 years. She received her VTS in ECC in 2013 and her VTS in SAIM in 2021. She has worked at the Cummings Veterinary Medical Center at Tufts University for 15 years and now works as the hemodialysis technician. Carolyn’s areas of professional interest include catheter locking & flushing solutions, catheter related infections, extracorporeal therapies, and hemostasis & coagulation. She lives in Hudson, MA with her husband, their daughter, a somewhat neurotic cat named Beefcake Jones, an energetic puppy named Charlie Bucket, and a pig in a rabbit suit named Wilbur.

✨️ Amy is the owner of Veterinary Team Training which offers online medical leadership education for veterinary professionals. After starting in a rural general practice with one doctor, Amy has worked for almost every business sector including private, corporate, non­profit and federal government. After obtaining a masters in leadership and management she published the award-winning and best-selling books “Oops, I Became a Manager” and “Oops, My Team is Toxic.” This older dinosaur still pulls floor shifts in an ER hospital. She lives in Massachusetts with her wonderful furry kids where you can find her eating chocolate, running in the woods, and diving in the ocean.

Make sure your pets chip is registered and the information is up-to-date.

Today is Check the Chip Day.

Microchips greatly increase the chances that pets will be reunited with their families if they are lost or stolen…but a microchip only works if its registration information is accurate! Take a moment to review your pet's chip info and make necessary updates. If your pet isn't microchipped, make an appointment with your vet ASAP!

🐾🏠 Help Us Clear the Shelter! 🐾🏠
From August 14–16, MRFRS is hosting a special Adult Cat Adoption Event to help some of our long-term residents find the loving homes they deserve. 💙

We’ll be highlighting a group of featured adult cats (12 months+) who have been at the shelter for far too long; some are a little shy, some have extra “spice,” but all are ready for their happily ever after.

🐱 Adoption fees for these featured cats will be covered thanks to the generosity of one of our supporters!

🎁 Bonus: Every cat or kitten adoption during the event comes with a surprise gift (while supplies last).
