The Coronavirus pandemic is going to cause unprecedented losses to business across the world especially Africa. Movement restrictions will cause commodity prices to skyrocket or supplies run completely dry altogether. Many businesses and manufacturers depend hugely on imported finished products and raw materials particularly from China. It's a matter of time before we get closures in China and by extension businesses in other parts of the world. Even fear of being infected with the deadly virus will reduce traffic to China. I challenge IT companies to step up their game and assist businesses and manufacturers to shop online to keep goods running to forestore shut downs and unemployment catastrophe.
