Have you checked out the fun going on with our Photo Contest? We have a close race to the top!

Our Photo Contest is our biggest fundraiser of the year. It allows us to cover vetting for our cats. When we send cats home to their forever homes we like to make sure they are fully vetted and healthy. So what does that mean? Well, we do a final wellness exam, vaccines are given, we microchip our cats, we do a dose of flea/tick prevention, and make sure they have been dewormed. All of our cats are also spayed/neutered before leaving. If a cat has a medical issue such as needing a dental we always try to take care of that before a cat goes home. All of our donations to our Photo Contest help us cover these expenses for our wonderful foster cats!

Bertie & Lucian are still seeking their forever home! They have been in rescue about 10 months. They need a very special home! They are a bonded pair and really depend on each other. They need someone to give them a chance. Their foster mom loves them but would love for them to have a home of their own! They are located in Lake Ariel, PA. Please share in hopes of us finding them their forever home!

🎆🐾 Don't Forget to Keep Your Pets Safe This 4th of July! 🐾🎆

Fireworks might be fun for us, but they can be really scary for our furry friends. Here are some tips to keep your pets safe and calm during the celebrations:

Create a Safe Space: Set up a quiet, comfortable area indoors where your pet can feel secure.
Keep Them Indoors: Avoid taking your pets to fireworks displays. Keep them inside and close windows and doors to reduce noise.
Provide Distractions: Give them their favorite toys or turn on some calming music to help drown out the noise.
Use Pet-Friendly Anxiety Aids: Consider pet-safe calming products like anxiety vests or pheromone sprays.
Update ID Tags and Microchips: Make sure your pets’ identification is up to date in case they get frightened and run away.

These gorgeous lovable fluff-buddies are still waiting for their purrfect FURever home. Sadly, they've had two approved adopters back out on them. They deserve a chance at a happy life. 💓🐈‍⬛🐈‍⬛

We have already received 5 fawns .
Please call a licensed rehabilitator before deciding to pick up a fawn!!! ONE of these fawns were actually abandoned. It is completely normal to not see mom for hours or sometimes days.They come back for very short increments of time to feed their babies and then they leave so they don't attract predators .
It is also normal to hear them cry, they are curious and just because they are calling out does not mean they are hungry or abandoned.
The survival rate in fawns is not ideal in rehabilitation. They are highly stressed animals and just picking them up AND / OR transporting them can cause capture myopathy which is deadly .

Its that time of year... FAWN Deer are being born. Unlike horses, cows and goats, newborn fawns cannot run quickly and keep up with their mom for a week or two and they lay quietly where the mother places them. She returns to feed her fawn(s) 2-3 times in 24 hours and stays out of sight the rest of the time. Please do not disturb any fawn that is resting as shown in the picture and that is not crying for more than 4-5 hours . CALL us if you have questions. We are happy to help! Fawns laying flat on their side, have flies around, or crying for hours on end need help. Call the Center for help. Please do not decide they need help without a phone call to a licensed rehabilitator.
Over 90% of the fawns we get in have fully bellys and are NOT orphaned , they are kidnapped.
