to get the plastic toy inside
before we

leave
the store.

I should have just tossed a $10 bill into the wind…but then Koehn wouldn’t have been able to practice his predatory moves. Which is always smart…getting your dog to practice the very behavior you do NOT want him “practicing”. I’m the butter knife in the sharp knives drawer, sad to report. 😬

Day 4: “Ya don’t LOOK sick!” =========== Oh boy. A scary day of coughing that seemed eerily like “heart issue coughing”. I sent a video clip to Dr. Cieply’s team. They immediately called me and told me to take him to #medvet. Of course, I have recently been at MedVet — when Prissy died of heart failure — 6 days earlier. BUT? AND? Koehn is OK. Welp, she’s had a yucky week. Being the bulldog expert that I am (not!) I gave her a store-bought bone filled with gunk. Yeah. HUGE no-no for, say, an 11 year-old bulldog with health challenges (heart issues, kidney issues, severe arthritis). I feed her ID (that’s for kidney disease) and mix it with boiled chicken. That’s it. So what logic do you think I convinced myself was “solid” when purchasing the aforementioned bone? Yeah. NONE. I’m making light of this (right now) but it’s been scary. She hasn’t wanted to eat or drink much (not hard to imagine as she likely has a huge glob of yucky crap trying to make its way OUT. Because she barely walks, it takes much longer for the gunk to make its blessed exit. She’s been eating watery rice and bits of boiled chicken. She’s had a few doses of Cerenia and Metronidazole. Last night (when this was shot) she seemed good. Tonight she’s back to lethargy. She’s still eating, drinking, pooing and peeing. Her poo looked like a normal one tonight. Please send healing vibes.
