Hi my lovely Instagram fam! I have been taking a break from Nifty Nix for a little while now, and truthfully it's due to losing my baby girl, Khaleesi about two months ago. Khaleesi was my best friend and my heart cat. I had her for seven beautiful years - since she was two and I adopted her from the treehouse humane society here in Chicago. She was sassy, sweet, and the most cuddly lap cat I've ever known. I couldn't possibly explain her amazingnesss and impact she had on our lives to you, so I won't try! I was her person, and we were her family. Unfortunately her health was deteriorating and it was her time. There has always been love in our home, and we are missing our sweet girl so much. However, I'm so pleased to say that she passed humanely with her two favorite people right there until beyond the end. I needed time to grieve and heal a little bit because Nifty Nix was a bit triggering for a while. I just left my shop open and took a break from social media. But now I'm realizing that I want to continue making pups and kitties look even more adorable in honor of my Khaleesi. So with that, I'm back, and I can't wait to share Nifty Nix with this wonderful community once more. This is for you, Khaleesi. My flying squirrel. ❤❤❤
