Before you enter the ring with your horse you want to know a few things.

How you are going to ride the course ?
Are we riding for winning ?
How is the ground going to affect our ride ?
Is it dry, wet, hard, deep grass or sand ?
What is the distance between 2 jumps ?
How many strides are you going to ride in the line ?
Where are you going to turn ?

🌟 POSTURE & POSITION 🌟

First I want to you to understand that your position in the saddle will determine how you will ride.

No matter how well you can ride, if your posture & position is off you won’t be able to be a soft and light rider.

At UNITY we want to teach you the art of working with your horse. Understanding your balance is our foundation.

Here is Lisa, working on finding her balance point through her core.

✅ 1st slide is the correct position (core engaged forward on top of her feet)

🌟 BIG DREAMS 🌟

Last week I spent 2 days at Geelong with Ode & Pinot.

As part of the learning process and getting to know Pinot we have built a tailored training program that includes spending a lot of time together building trust, lunging and riding.

They will be back at Unity for the holidays. We will revise the program then to make sure it still works.

We have big dreams but are patient and are trusting the process 🙏🏽❤️

🌟 PINOT 🌟

Hard work pays off 💕💪🏽

First jumping session for Pinot. After all that ground work and flat work I felt that she was ready to take on the task.

Suppleness and balance are improving daily as now we are starting to take on straightness, in the canter and over jumps.

It is no easy task but she is a fantastic student 🌟💕
