Our Newest Tank is almost ready to be set up for housing shrimp! With the substrate washed and everything ready, we can start filling up our tank and putting plants in to start cycling.

Using sponge filters taken from a current tank we created bacteria micro cultures. Each of these will be added to our new tanks before shrimp are added. This helps cycle the tanks and promotes other bacteria to grow, which the shrimp can feed on. This also helps the shrimp thrive in general.
