Emu breeding season has begun for 2023!!
Congratulations to Nagus and Dax!
Our only baby hatched on
08MAR23, just as I was leaving for an event in Washington DC with my Military Working Dog handlers!
He was soposed to have been picked up by a family the day he hatched, but unfortunately, we have not heard from them again.
Baby "Mu" either had a difficult hatching (which was super fast) or perhaps had some deficiencies during the incubation cycle because he was a little splay leg right off the bat and had wry neck start after a few days.
I am happy to say that Mu has recovered from both quickly, and is eating and drinking like a little champ! Loves his kale, and his stuffed alligator :)
Mu will be looking for a new home after this weekend, once I am sure he has completely recovered.
Please PM the page if you think Mu may fit into your family! He would probably appreciate a family with other baby emus if possible.
We are located in MT Pleasant TX. We do not ship baby emus.
Some fun video of Chiefs Major Reaction, Aka, Ghost Rider (or Storm II), doing what he does best 🤣

Egg #13 has successfully hatched this morning!
It is our 4th baby hatched here, and we have 6 more to go in the incubator.
Hatching baby emus has been such a wonderful experience, and we have learned alot from our first breeding season!
It looks like our female, Grand Nagus, is done laying at 34 eggs this year, which is very good especially for a first season.
This is Emu Egg #11.
It is at day 37 of a 50-70 day incubation period.
Emu eggs are known to wiggle and even whistle several days before hatching.
