I’ve got to come clean with you all, this has been eating me alive since the birth of FLF! When I tell you, please don’t judge me as we are all fellow dog lovers!!!

I’ve got a Kong collection obsession! My collection just keeps expanding! Paul has promised to leave me if I buy anymore but they are just such a versatile tool in my doggy daycare and homeboarding tool belt! If you haven’t got one I recommend you purchase one (or more like me 🤣)! Great to stuff with food to provide a mentally enriching task for your pooches!

TIP! Stuff your kongs with freezable foods for your dogs to make it extra challenging!

We’ve had a lovely long weekend away to celebrate Uncle Paul’s birthday! Lots of walks in the Peak District, nice food and drink and lots of chill time! 🐾🍾🐕🧘‍♀️

We know that lots of you enjoy a break away with your pooches and we can’t sing high enough praises of this place: it’s has its own secure dog walking field and walks that lead directly from the cabin site. Did you know you can feed your dog pumpkin 🎃

How to feed ⬇️

Just halve, scoop out the seeds, and bake for around 45/50mins until the skin is tender.

Once the pumpkin is cool enough to handle, scoop the flesh from the skin and add it to a high-speed blender or food processor.

Blend until creamy and smooth, adding a little water (only if needed).

Once blended you can transfer into moulds and freeze.

Here’s the benefits ⬇️

Pumpkin is packed with nutrients your dog needs. It’s a great source of Vitamins A, E, and C, which are important for the immune system, brain function, eyes, and skin health.

Pumpkin also contains important minerals like potassium, copper, manganese, and iron that each play a role in cellular functions. This is a great reason to add pumpkin as a part of your dog’s regular diet.

Pumpkin is a good source of fiber, which is great for your dog’s digestive health. The soluble fiber content in pumpkin absorbs water, which can help to solidify runny stool when your dog has diarrhea.

The fiber can also help with the opposite problem, by loosening up the packed stool in the case of constipation.
