Cider and Eggnog are still in search of their forever families. They came from a New Mexico shelter who thought their mom might be a corgi mix. While we are unsure of their parentage as they all have long legs, we couldn’t leave them behind. Our best guess is that there is some chihuahua and terrier in the mix. They are 11 weeks old. Cider is about 7lbs and Eggnog is closer to 9, so we believe they will be small to medium when full grown.

Cider has beautiful green eyes and a velvet red coat. She can be shy on first meeting but is quick to warm up and very affectionate. She loves to play chase and will prance when inviting friends to play. Eggnog is the silly big brother with adorable brown spots. He loves to wrestle and play tug with toys. They are both working on their potty training, and do well sleeping in a crate at night.

If you are interested in meeting Cider or Eggnog the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. They are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. The adoption fee is $400, and we are not adopting outside of Colorado.

Duke needs no sales pitch. He’ll sell himself the moment you meet him. Duke is a sweet and curious 14-month-old Corgi—tail and all—who weighs about 26 pounds. This little guy loves exploring the world, especially on his daily walks. He’s playful, especially when there are balls involved, and his cheerful trot is guaranteed to make you smile.

Duke is crate trained and sleeps through the night in his crate like a champ. He’s still working on his potty training, but he does well when taken out regularly and given clear cues. With a consistent routine, he’ll continue to build great habits in his new home.

He’s very interested in cats—maybe a little too interested—so a cat-free home would likely be the best fit for him. Duke was surrendered by a family who simply had too many dogs, and now he’s ready for a fresh start with someone who can give him the structure, attention, and love he deserves. He loves any human interaction. Despite being too long to be a lap dog, he really loves trying. Tugging on a rope seems to be a favorite activity for him. Watch out for little corgi tongue kisses on your face.

Duke has not been kid-tested, but should be fine with respectful kids 12+. He would like a secure fenced yard. He is dog-friendly and could go to a home with or without a canine companion. If you are interested in meeting Duke, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check and meet with everyone in the home. Duke is neutered, UTD on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $450 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.

Perry has the face of a Corgi, the tail, ears, and bounce of a Papillion, and the coat and shape of a mini Aussie. Perry is a sweet gentle soul who wants nothing more than the love and company of his human. He came into a KS shelter as an owner surrender due to a move. His coat was full of mats so he got a budget haircut (shaved heinie) at the shelter but when it grows in, he’ll require regular professional grooming. He’s a little hand shy so will do best in a quieter home with at least one female caregiver. Perry loves going for rides and walks, is potty trained, and can leap a gate/fence so he can never be left outside when his humans leave. He tolerates the crate for short periods (gets barky when his crate patience expires) and likes to sleep near his human preferably on the big bed. He’s approx 2.5 y/o, 20 # (could stand to lose a couple pounds), and dog friendly (calmer dogs would be a better fit), although he hasn’t really engaged in play with other dogs, he prefers humans. He has not been tested with cats or kids and due to his shy yet bouncy and slightly mouthy nature, respectful kids 10+ may be considered. Perry will do best with active humans who work from home or are retired. He will be your ride or die shadow and requires a good lap during down time. If you are interested in meeting Perry, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Perry is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. Perry’s adoption fee is $375 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.

Mistletoe and her siblings came from a New Mexico shelter who thought their mom might be a corgi mix. While we are unsure of their parentage as they all have long legs, we couldn’t leave them behind. Our best guess is that there is some chihuahua and terrier in the mix. She is about 10 weeks old and 6lbs, so we believe she will be small to medium when full grown.

Mistletoe may be the smallest of the litter, but she is also one of the most active. She has puppy eyes down to a science and will use them any time she is up to something mischievous. She holds her own wrestling with her siblings, and likes to play with the adult dogs in her foster home too. She loves plush toys, especially if they have a squeaker. Mistletoe is working on her potty training, and does well sleeping in a pen at night.

If you’re interested in meeting Mistletoe the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. She will be spayed, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Her adoption fee is $400, and we are not adopting outside of Colorado.

Cider has beautiful green eyes. She looks to her siblings and other dogs in the home for reassurance when meeting new people or experiencing new things. But she is quick to warm up and very affectionate. Cider is working on her potty training, and does well sleeping in a pen at night. He is about 10 weeks old and 8lbs, so we believe he will be a small to medium when full grown.

Mocha loves to wrestle and is the first to go grab toys when playing. He has the longest, curly tail of the group. He also loves to follow his foster mom around, and prefers to nap near her or his siblings. Mocha is working on his potty training, and does well sleeping in a pen at night. He loves to play with his siblings, and will even try to play chase with the adult dogs in his foster home.

Eggnog is the boldest of the litter. He is always the first up and ready to explore and meet new friends. He loves to climb and can often be found napping on top of the puppy pile. Rubber chew toys are his favorite. Eggnog is working on his potty training, and does well sleeping in a pen at night. Thanks to your support, we have helped over 80 dogs in need this year including several challenging medical cases. Cody (now adoptable) is one of those stories. He came to us after a concerned citizen saw him struggling to walk. The vet discovered his leg was broken, and he would need surgery and PT if he had any chance of regaining normal function. He is now fully recovered, and has a wonderful and full life to look forward to thanks in no small part to the support of people just like you. Thank you!

Meet Porter — the sweetest boy looking for his forever home!

Porter is a gentle, loving, and intelligent 1.5-year-old pup who weighs about 40 pounds. With his beautiful markings and alert expression, he might be a mix of Husky or Australian Shepherd. He adores playtime, enjoys his daily walks, and gets along wonderfully with both dogs and older respectful kids 12+. Porter had a tough start in life but with the help of a professional R+ trainer, he has worked through some issues and is learning to be the best boy. New environments can make him a bit unsure, so he needs a patient family who can offer structure, reassurance, and gentle guidance, so Porter will continue to blossom. He would like to join a home with another dog. He’ll happily play the day away with his new furry sibling. He’s active and playful, yet also appreciates quiet time and settles easily. He will do well in a home with humans who listen and respect him when he’s nervous about something and have his back. Porter is also working on his potty training and will need a consistent, structured routine in his new home to help him continue to build good habits. Because of this, Porter is going to be a better fit with a secure fenced in yard.

If you are interested in meeting Porter, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. Porter is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. His adoption fee is $375 and we do not adopt outside of Colorado.

Coming soon - now accepting applications

We welcomed four adorable puppies to the rescue last week. Eggnog, Mocha, Cider, and Mistletoe came from a New Mexico shelter who thought they might be corgi mixes. While we are unsure of their parentage(they all have long legs), we couldn’t leave them behind. They will most likely be small to medium when full grown, possible with chihuahua or terrier in the mix. They are currently 6-8lbs and around 10 weeks old.

Eggnog is the boldest of the bunch. He is always the first up and ready to explore and meet new friends. Mocha isn’t far behind him, he loves to wrestle and is the first to go grab toys when playing. Cider has a gentler personality, preferring to play with the group rather than explore solo. Mistletoe is the smallest, but it doesn’t hold her back. She happily take on either of her brothers in a wrestling match. They are all working on their puppy basics. While it is easy to get caught up in the festive season, please remember that puppies are a life long commitment.

If you’re interested in meeting one of the puppies, the first step is to complete our meet and greet application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with everyone in the home. They will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on age appropriate vaccines. Their adoptions fees are $400, and we are not adopting outside of Colorado.
