So I have been keeping a secret for a while. My youngest person adopted a kitten. As my name is Jean Louise (Scout) our kitten is Caticus Finch or Cat for short. He is slowly becoming my best buddy.

🍁 Happy Thanksgiving! Visiting family and riding in the car is fun but kinda crowded. Totally worth it, just wasn’t real keen of a hooman taking my normal seat. The best part of holidays is spending lots of time with the people that you love. 🍁 🍂

A bit of an adventure today with our little Scout. Apparently a box of coco baking powder fell off the top shelf in the pantry. This morning Scout found the pantry door ajar and nosed inside where she found the powder with the lid still on. (Not sure how). She sneaked with it out the dog door in back then went around the house to the front sidewalk where we wouldn’t see her. And began a feast on unsweetened, baking coco powder. Why? Yuck We found her fairly quick (thank goodness). The lid was lying next to the container and brown baking cocoa was everywhere!! Mom quickly induced vomiting (yes that was a horrible mess) and rushed her over to our awesome vets who had, thankfully just opened for the day. Looks like she is going to be fine. Whew! Photo of her pouting that I took away her cocoa powder. I made it up to her as she got to spend half a day at the vet which is her most favorite place on earth. She really loves it there.😍

So the past few weeks I’ve been trying new things. I went camping and learned that I’m a good camping dog. I loved hiking, waterfalls, and playing in creeks. I met tons of nice boxer people. The mountains are cool and beautiful but I’m glad to be off the leash. I did get a bit tired of that.

I made a new friend. His name is Levi. He invited me over for swimming lessons. I’ve never been in a pool before. I learned how to swim in the first lesson. I was so so tired on the ride home. Video next.
